Yep that's made a launch today much more likely, first videos / photos I've seen of it working in the UK / on the tube (and the U.K. card shows they've worked with Apple).

Also it looks like Boots have been putting up posters overnight (see the wall in the background)! I'll be impressed if it's that well advertised in all their stores!

Not really, Barclays won't have T&C's as they're not supporting it yet. The rest are, so there's a first step that can be taken on their server.
They were talking about some Santander cards not even bringing up the T&Cs.

Also who knew Boots accepts so many kinds of card! Didn't even know we have Discover here in the U.K.

If you have no connection, or if it's off, then it checks when you turn on.
But then you have a feature launching at different times for different people. we have seen the file was updated last at 8pm. I don't know what was added then, but let's say that 8pm is therefore one of many possible times Apple can update the file to release a new feature.

If you had internet off from 11pm to 9pm the next day, you would get the feature (added to the file at 8pm) at 9pm when you turn Internet on. Others would get it later at midnight.

Can anyone else refresh the Json file?

Was doing it straight away for me all day but now been refs hung for last few minutes.

Update:false alarm. Slow internet.

She'll have been given a device by Apple that has been setup in advance.

Apple's PR will have dished out pics and will have worked with the shops/banks to provide them with PR pics for signs/leaflets/displays, etc weeks ago.

Also, Apple PR made them available to newspapers/sites, for their articles since they announced it.

Well no, the feature would launch at 1 time. The only people getting it after that time, are the ones that didn't have their phones on or had no signal, but they would get it as soon as they did....

Well this article has a video of her using an RBS card, not just PR pics.
