Apple Watch doesn't seem to have updated... Nothing happens on double tap and my registered card isn't in Passbook. Anyone having the same issue?

Yes I rebooted mine then added both cards thru the app.

All ready to go - off to an office that loves their sweets today, I may have to detour by waitrose to buy some - essential purchase and all that...

HSBC have now stopped sending people "we will be launching soon" and are instead sending out "we will be launching later in July"

Reboot your watch then you have to add them again through the watch app.

People that initially added their cards with the region trick (i.e. last night before Apple fully pushed the update) have you since switched back and it's working OK?

Would like to avoid the embarrassment of it not working properly when I go into London today just because I was a little impatient. I got the welcome email and everything, and oddly I received the exact same activation code via text 2 hours after I first activated it.

Another question - does this work with ALL contactless terminals? Five Guys is listed as 'coming soon' on the website yet it has contactless terminals...

Should work with all that have the contactless symbol.

HSBC and first direct are again giving great customer service. I hope a lot of first direct customers collect their £100 on their way out ( though I doubt anyone actually gets that money)

Isle of Man Bank (who are owned by NatWest) don't seem to have enabled Apple Pay yet. Looks like I'm changing banks today then.

That's more or less the same as HSBC's generic 'later in July'. Can almost guarantee it will be the 31st at 11:59pm.

I'm not bitter enough to change banks over something so frivolous. But I can certainly understand people's frustrations.

Me too, I've been with HSBC for over 10 years and they've been brilliant. Whilst it is a massive shame that we were promised it today, it's not the end of the world and we can still make contactless transactions with the card itself.

I've only just upgraded to a contactless card myself, so the luxury is still quite novel .

It seems to be quite strong as it is - in Apple videos you don't see them pressing the phone right against the reader like you would with an Oyster card etc. And I use my Oyster through my wallet anyway.
