This is on iOS 9 Beta 4. Should have no issues

I managed to add my HSBC debit card successfully to my phone but I can't get it to register on my watch. I get the same message as before about contacting the card issuer. Has anyone been able to add their HSBC card to their watch. Can anyone help with this.

It should be the same process. I'll try in a minute and let you know

I have a standard HSBC debit card not an advanced one and it won't let me add it yet :/
My standard card works with apple pay on my watch, but not on my phone which is running the iOS 9 public beta. I can add cards through the apple watch app, but not through wallet/passbook.

I also get an error with First Direct debit card, even after restarting.

It is also widely reported on Twitter, so I just called customer support. They have acknowledged there is an issue, and took details from me along the lines of "what device are you using, is the card linked to your iTunes?"

Even with the extra time, they still have issues!

Maybe it's because I'm using a wi-fi hot spot. Although I would have thought the communication between the Apple Watch app on the phone and the watch would be using Bluetooth.

Ah. Good to know I'm not the only one. I guess I will wait for them to fix the issue and try again. I can't use ApplePay at the moment anyway so it's not that big a deal for me.

Got my HSBC one added to watch and phone. Now to find somewhere to use it. Probably Greggs or McDonalds as theyre the only places on the way to work that has contactless where I can get breakfast (Damn you Tesco's!!!)

Could be server over load.

Judging by the Twitter account for HSBC help, I'd say for every person who registers their card there are around 4 who get an error XD

I don't really get the issue. I have another HSBC card and that has just added to phone and watch with no issue

Still no joy here. Why do I bank with these idiots?! Seriously bad, two week delay then launch fails for many customers...
