Given that Walgreen's own a majority share of Boots you'd think they'd support the Advantage Card in the Wallet app (like they plan to in the States).
As nerdy as this is to admit... I've actually emailed the executive customer service team at Boots suggesting they do this. I got a thorough (non-generic) email back saying that it's an interesting idea and it's been passed to the relevant department. Nothing will probably come of it but every company should be open to customer feedback.

You reminded me I was going to so the same of Waitrose. Sent the email, thanks for the unintended nudge!

It's not nerdy at all-I did exactly the same on Twitter!

I can't see any reason why they couldn't add the app into Wallet. As all their new Advantage cards are bar code's now. Some of their older ones have chips. The Boots app is truly shocking.

I've just tried too at the Tesco Metro in Derby (using the Clubcard app) and it wouldn't work for me either.
Mine is really random. Tried it at the counter at a Tesco garage, worked fine. Tried it at a new Tesco at the counter, didn't work. Tried at the counter of an older Tesco, worked fine. Cannot get it to work at a self serve. Haven't tried garage self serve yet.

I'm calling in at Tesco Wednesday evening; I'll try the 24 hour filling station and see if that works.

Well since Watch OS 2.1 dropped Apple have done something as I'm finding Apple Pay much, much better on my Watch. Three times I'be used it since and it's read my device from at least an inch away whereas before nine times out of ten it was practically on top of the contactless terminal.

Bloody Tesco! Using a self serve, tried using Apple Pay. Failed. Tried again, failed. Gave up and used my card.

Checked my bank and I now have 3 pending transactions. Grrrr.

Failed as in payment declined?

At least when the payment services reconcile themselves next week you (should) hopefully be charged for your Chip & PIN transaction.

I can't find the post on here, but sadly verified that waitrose have put back their Apple Pay limit I presume to £30. Presented my watch for my family shopping today (£150+) for the card reader to just say swipe or insert your card. I tried the watch in any case but it wasn't having any of it.. Back to chip &PIN again Meh :-(
