The US's equivalent, CurrentC, is also taking an age to roll out and is getting the same stick. They'll die a death quickly once they see no decent uptake.
And rightly so.

Do you use a Sure Signal? As I can't belive that is a "natural" vodafone signal .

Something to watch out for.
Had an declined transaction when buying a 6S in the Apple Store today using a 6 to pay, although I used A-Pay last week for a £500+ payment. Same card with pin number went through ok. Rang the bank afterwards to activate AP on the 6S and asked about the decline, they reckoned it was fraud prevention systems chipping in. I have registered my mobile phone to try mitigate this in the future via text message - but what's the point of a credit limit if even the bank don't quite trust AP themselves?
I'm literally about 150 meters away from the mast, that's why !
I live in Newbury, Vodafone's HQ is here and they overpower their signal to interfere with other networks, which is pants.
Am surprised they haven't had their knuckles rapped over such tactics...
They get away with it cos it brings jobs.
So after Waitrose going back to the 30 pound limit, is M&S still without a limit? I don't go there often, but would be good to know to avoid embarrassment.
I used to get this with the 6 occasionally last year, but would then find the transaction wouldn't be listed in the Wallet app - have been to some of those stores since, and it works better now.I had another failed transaction in a Starbucks last Friday. It worked on the phone but failed on the terminal. I'm guessing failures like this are caused by a problem with authenticating the cryptogram which is sent from the phone to the payment network. I ended up using my contactless card which worked fine. Even if apple pay was more widely accepted I wouldn't like to have to rely solely on my phone for payment as apple pay is not reliable enough. Contactless cards have the advantage in that they can authenticate offline.
Managed to use my Watch on the Underground today and I felt much more confident pre-authorising it before I reached the gates than I would have done just using my iPhone.
You can pre-authorise the phone too. I am using my IPhone from last summer on the underground and it was always as fast as a normal oyster card .
Used mine in tesco express in Luton today and it was slow... The card reader part was OK, but authorising the transaction on the self scan took a significant amount longer than I've had anywhere else. All for £3!
