Used to ApplePay for the first time in a London bus yesterday. Worked without any issues at all. Used it in the passed on the Tube. Went through really quickly.

It's great on TfL isn't it? Just wish my local bus services had such a feature.

Am off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a couple of days; am hoping I can use it on the tram network there but I've a feeling I'll be disappointed!

Yeah it's great. Had an Oyster card for years but then moved over to my contactless debit card. Now I think I'm just going to use ApplePay.

Can't fault you. Didn't get to use Apple Pay on Edinburgh Trams but when paying for goods in Boots the chap to the right of me was using it too... First time that's happened to me personally.

Just noticed tonight Tesco Express in Newcastle quayside are now accepting Apple Pay, wish they would extend it to extra stores as well. Haven't been in this Tesco for a while so not sure when it was introduced.

I would imagine it's been in the last three months or so.

Didn't realise Wetherspoons had Apple Pay logos stuck all over their menus.

The large Kingston Park Tesco Extra now accepts the PayQwik barcode payment thing now... I really wish they'd give that up and just update their terminals!

Lakeland were having trouble with Apple Pay. Tried twice with the watch and it immediately rejected both times on the terminal. Assistant said he'd had other people with the same issue over the course of the last week. Contactless card worked fine...

The one underneath Eldon Square accepts Apple Pay as well.

I made my first ever payment over the £30 limit on Friday. Unfortunately it was at the dentist so I'm hoping I won't be using that again this year.

That's never a good way on checking if they except the higher limit ApplePay.

Do we have a definitive list of stores / shops that will accept Apple Pay over £30. I'm never sure which stores do.

The ones I've tried over £30 and it's worked are:
- Apple
- Waitrose (although some people have said they've stopped this now?)
- Nandos
- Pret

Then there's ones listed on the Apple Pay page that I've tried over £30 and don't work:
- Wilko
- M&S
- Boots

Boots were touted as removing the £30 Apple Pay limit from Novemeber last year. Weird.

I think Waitrose was a temporary thing; but haven't spent anything over £30 in there to confirm or deny.

It's outside, on Clayton street, opposite the Grainger Market.
Ah of course! My mind was drawing a complete blank!

Ah it may have been a while since I tried Boots then. They might have upped it!

Might be a while before I spend over £30 in Boots but if it happens sooner rather than later I'll post back the result here.

The website Contactless.life is a good one for a comprehensive list.
Waitrose confirmed that their trial has ended for now, but they were hoping to roll it out. My Towcester waitrose is still accepting only chip & pin for >£30. Pity, I really enjoyed using it when it was available!

Thanks for that, it's a good list they've got going. I forgot I'd used limitless Apple Pay in giraffe one time too. Although my local Tesco has replaced it with their own cafe now :(

I'm still waiting for the Tesco near my work to do so! The little one near my house has updated.

I also noticed there is another small Tesco near the train station at my work which updated terminals for contactless, I looked like some god when I used my AW. Oddly enough there less then 1/2 mile apart....
