That ad sounds like they are desperate and out of ideas. Is THAT really the sales pitch for the iPad now?

I love how the definition of Pro has always changed to basically be "not iPad".
This kind of nonsense is what makes everyone know apple has no clue how to deal with the Enterprise market (and why the IBM partnership is a complete disaster)

if you have school age kids, many of their assignments are still required to be turned in on paper. There are also old college teachers that still want assignments on paper.

You need to remember that these ads are not meant for you. They are for the huge majority of people that don't know how to do what you do. My spouse still prints all the time and I can't do anything to get them to understand that signing digitally is safer than printing, signing and faxing.
I pity the ads. Think different, get a Mac or the iPod campaigns made you feel proud. These are so clueless and even their competitors can do the same or better. They don't differentiate or show the strengths compared to others. Lame and clueless.

So Apple is essentially asking people to spend hundreds and hundreds on a letter signing device? I'm not sure I understand this ad.
