usually during "preparing to ship" but mine was charged when I clicked the order now button. so weird
We ordered same day and config... yet mine is in preparing to ship but is est. Jan 4...
My delivery was scheduled for Dec. 17th but now I found that it is changed to Dec. 18th without any other changes!
Omg... changed to shipped and says it's coming Dec 29... almost a week knocked off?!

Interesting. From what I've read so far everyone says the payment was not taken immediately upon ordering. Weird

My MBA was shipped on December 10th, shipping by UPS, and it has been stuck in "Shipment Cleared Customs" since December 12th. No new updates, no location information, no estimated delivery date. Last known location is Shanghai. Destination Europe.
Has anyone had a similar experience? I've contacted UPS and they have no concise information other than "customs are slow at the moment". I'm a bit desperate as it was due to be delivered on December 14th according to their own tracking...

No update, only "Still processing" until today.
Now it's "Still processing" but the ETA has been pushed back until Jan 14,2021.
What grinds my gears are all these people ordering weeks after me and receiving their orders weeks before me.... At this rate the apple silicon 4port MBP will be released if apple keeps on delaying my MBP.

My mini 16GB/1TB finally moved! It has been stuck in Hong Kong since the 10th. I checked this morning and still no change, but a few moments ago it says it arrived at Tauyuan, TW. Rescheduled delivery: December 17th (original date was December 16th). Crossing my fingers that it actually arrives by tomorrow (but very skeptical).
Does anyone know the route it takes from TW? Can I check potential flights to see if there is a potential route to get it here by tomorrow? Destination: Michigan, USA

Well after Apple changes my arrival date by pushing it back 10 days they charge my Credit card on the same day. Not sure what's on the go with apple right now. With my iPhone they charged my card, changed the status to
reparing to ship" to "shipped" within hours. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

12/11: Arrived at Shanghai, CN
12/12: Arrived at Narita, JP

12/15: Arrived at Louisville, KY
12/15: Arrived at Romulus, MI
12/15: Arrived at local depot
12/15: Arrived at destination
Original ETA was 12/9 - 12/16, and it held! That said, on 12/10 Apple revised their ETA to 12/21, so it's actually now ahead of schedule per the delayed ETA.
For those tracking: Apple website had the least info on transit, UPS website had only slightly more info than Apple, and Parcel app had the most complete/detailed info. I highly recommend Parcel -- great independent developer too.
It took 24 days from order to delivery, but it made it
