I'm beginning to seriously doubt if our Macs even made it on the flight to Anchorage. The last update is still "in transit" in Shanghai, and UPS flight 109 from Anchorage to Louisville landed over an hour ago. I find it highly unlikely that a package would go through UPS' central Worldport hub without a scan and a tracker update. As far as we know, they might not have even left China yet, which is looking more and more likely. Am I just being too pessimistic?

About this, UPS has stated that:
A shipment can remain in this status until it is delivered.
According to this page:

I also found someone had similar experience ordering iPhone, and he said "Mine sat like that in China up until the day it delivered. I had no change in status until I got the out for delivery status."

So it is possible they don't update the tracking until delivery.

Anyone else stuck in HK? ???? are the macs partying there or what? Since 18th there all alone in the dark.
What did you order? I got the Space Grey MBP/16GB/512GB ssd

Mines being delivered to the UK and I've received no information since the 17th other than they're expecting my package in Eindhoven.

I hope you're luckier than me and see some movement soon.

Where are you having it delivered to? I wouldn't rule out a Monday delivery as they could still process it over the weekend ready for Monday.

I hope you and @captchas8 are right and that its making progress, just not updated. My MBP has the exact same timing and current status as both of you. I love how you can find the potential flights!

I've got a DHL tracking code on the 17th, but package has not yet arrived in Eindhoven. Guess it is still somewhere in Asia? It's a Mac Mini 512GG/16GB. Apple site says delivery on the 25th, hope it gets here sooner.
DHL's so-called 'tracking' is a joke. My 16/512 MBP destined for Australia was picked up in Shanghai on 17/11 but I've not heard a peep since. It's supposed to be arriving on Thursday or Friday, but who knows... ?

Oh no! Why is that?
For the reason I stated earlier - 16GB/512GB is a custom built-to-order config, so it is made to your specifications at the factory and then shipped to you. The only ones that you can buy at the Apple Store (even for online pickup) are models that they have in stock, and they usually only stock "base configs" (the configs that you see when you click "Buy" on the MacBook Air page, so 7c GPU/8GB/256GB and 8c/8GB/512GB. In addition, some people say that they sometimes also stock a high end model, with 16GB ram and a terabyte of storage

My Air made it to my local FedEx this morning, "On FedEx vehicle scheduled for next business day delivery". I looked at the shipping details, there is an instruction for weekday delivery. WHY APPLE??!! I'm home on Saturdays too!

Ah, in this situation, I will not be patient. I will not stop refreshing until I get the configuration I want. Will keep you guys updated!
Check your local Apple stores to see if they have the configuration in stock.

Their stock changes daily so you need to keep checking constantly.

Once it's available, pay for it, make the reservation window and pick her up.

I gave up on ordering online - the tension and stress of tracking it was just too much....

@neworbit99 the 5am flight from Louisville to my destination city landed 3 hours ago, no destination scan or indication of it being out for delivery yet. For those who have already received their shipments, how long does it usually take between landing at the destination city and being delivered?

I decided to get the 8GB Air. If it doesn’t suit my needs, I’ll just return it for store credit and wait for a 16Gb to pop up! I have until the 8th of January to return it.

Gotcha. Hopefully I snag a 16 GB eventually! Decided to get the 8GB Air for now. I’ll return it by the 8th of January if the performance isn’t all there for me.

That's sad to hear about. Apple gave me an estimate of Dec 1. So I'm prepared for that date.

I got the base pro at Amazon $1249 in silver. I currently have the I3 air from this year. I was going to get the 1tb sixteen go model, but if the redesign next year around an M2 I’ll likely upgrade and then max out, for now this pro should run circles around my air
