@Fomalhaut If you use UPS app or click "Send Updates" to send to your email, you should see more intermediate steps in between. Very likely yours is still in Shanghai.

Also according the above new found by @neworbit99 , import and export customs inspections are also suspended :(

What does "the package was transferred to a Free Trade Zone or a non-UPS broker" mean?

I'm making an assumption that UPS has had to use an alternative shipping company.

Mine is in Shanghai but shipping FedEx. Just got there tomorrow (Shanghai time 10:23am Friday). From everything I gathered, it seems like mine should be fine because FedEx. Is that correct? Could someone give me the tldr?

Update: Apple website still shows preparing to ship, but I got the notification from FedEx Delivery Manager. Shows the same shipper as a lot of previous posts on here that had FedEx, it's in Shanghai China.

Scheduled Delivery Pending.

So that means preparing to ship status lasted about 17 hours. It looks like the label created time stamp is in my Eastern Time, and the pickup scan is local time so it was picked up about 30 minutes ago.

I'm so excited!

Yeah sounds like you're FedEx so you shouldn't have to worry about the Shanghai gang delays. sounds like we might be on the same truck for now.
 
This is what FedEX lists for the service type shown on my tracking info. 4 business days sounds about right with all the customs and stuff, so the 2nd exactly for us

FedEX International Priority lists 1 to 3 business days, next business day to the US, Canda, Mexico, and the Caribbean from most countries. Reach major cities in Europe by 10:30am in 2 business days. The chart below says FedEx International Priority plus 1 business day. So I guess anywhere from 2 - 4 business days, but I'd prepare for 4 as much as i want to hope for better. I'm just happy to have tracking info finally. Endless processing is the worst.

Also show this though for FedEx Service Delays on their website so I definitely don't think earlier than the 2nd will happen unfortunately..

My MBP 16GB/2TB, ordered Nov 11, finally shipped Nov 25, and just departed Anchorage, AK at 3:20pm today. Says scheduled delivery on Tuesday by Noon, but I bet I get it Monday. Would be REALLY sweet to get it Saturday...

I'm East coast along with @sinatik, but I think mid next week is perfectly reasonable. 6 calendar days (not business) travel time has been pretty standard throughout the forum.

Awesome! Saturday would be a dream, but mine specifically says deliver weekday, not sure about yours. I definitely don't think Monday is out of the question though, if i had shipped yesterday, that's what I'd be hoping for.

On the bright side, the last several FedEx packages have delivered before 10:30am, so I'm stoked about that.

LOL, I ordered a Iphone leather case that was supposed to deliver on Tuesday, 11/24, came on Wednesday 11/25 at about 6:30 pm, FedEx.
I have to say that I live on the edge of the boondocks though.

Well... Ya’ll gave me some hope and I just saw that my card was just charged this morning. Ordered on the 13th for the Mini 16GB/2TB with a date of Dec 15 - 22.
THIS IS GREAT NEWS!! You and I must be in the same pallet! I ordered my Mac Mini 16GB/2TB on the exact same day as you (November 13th) & was given the exact same delivery date as you (Dec 15 -22.) Your news is a good omen for things to come! :)

LOL dangg, 6:30pm that's rough. The USB-C adapter was delivelred at 11:20am, and the sleeve i got for my computer which came on the 24th was delivered at 9:28am. I've had some deliveries not related to apple come as early as 8:34am in October, but as late as 3:42pm as well UGH. My luck it'll come at 7:30pm when it's the computer smh.

Being charged is great news, I was shipped out within 19 hours of the charge to my account. Seeing the charge finally hit made my heart rate jump up hah.

@Fomalhaut I have no idea what that means - have never seen that before. If you look at the following post (click on the attachment link), which was also going to Canada, you can see a similar update about trade free zone/non-UPS broker.

Finally on truck for delivery! I think I just missed the **** show happening in Shanghai - here's hoping that everything starts moving again soon and that everyone over there stays safe :)

It's completely messed up. I'd be so pissed off I can't even, don't want to even imagine that situation. Since I thought an update on my order likely I've pretty much done nothing but eat, sleep and breathe my order status and when my computer will get here. Processing was hell enough. Imagining that the computer finally ***** ships and it sits in Shanghai for a ***** week with no idea when things will change...smh. You guys have patience of steel.

It's extremely unlikely that you would be, all recent ships seem to be FedEx for that very reason. I'm sure apple is more than aware whats' going on over there and receiving daily calls from upset customers.

Trust me, I am pissed off. It's so unlucky - the batch before ours made it out, the batch after ours was either shipped through FedEx or routed through SZX. And yeah, it was unfortunate event, the COVID breakout. That was not under UPS's control. I understand the airport needed to be locked down and everyone needed to be tested. But the response IS under UPS's control, as we have learned. You can either get your sh*t together, solve the problem, send people home to isolate, sanitize the facility, whatever and get flights scheduled and flying on time again, like FedEx, or you can have a failed response and basically have a frozen operation with no timeline for reopening like UPS. No alternative plan for the packages you currently have either - no chartering on another airline, no forwarding to Shenzhen, hell, I don't care forward them through FedEx if you need to. I would at least file a claim against UPS's delivery guarantee, which is available if it's been 24 hours since the scheduled delivery date, but UPS never gave us a scheduled delivery date.

The package can't be overdue if there's no due date.

I don't know how my patience is holding up, but I somehow am. I've been obsessed with this order ever since I placed it and the status of the order always has a presence in my head, which probably has a negative effect on my productivity. I seem to refresh and check it throughout the day impulsively.
