Darn, that would been perfect iPhone for me. Thanks

Well, the launch hasn't happened yet, so there is a chance that I (and literally everyone else) could be wrong, but I'd say there's only like a less than 1% chance. An "8+" this year would be quite honestly the best kept tech secret I have ever seen!

Agreed. I was thinking if we didn't hear the announcement by today, it's seemingly more going to be on the 12th currently.

If it's the 12th I think they will send invites next week, for some reason they normally send out invites for the September event a week before rather than 2.

It Could be a lot of variations why the delay this year. But looking ahead, it's not just about the keynote being delayed, but the iPhone launching somewhat later than expected as well. That extra week could make a significant difference for inventory at the initial launch.

True, if the 8/Edition is in supply constraints an extra week could help them. I guess we will have to wait and see. I'm hoping if it is the 12th that ore-orders start on the Friday.

It's 2 weeks today until the 12th of September so they could send the invites out today, usually tho (at least for the last couple of years) they send the September invites out a week before the event.

Its normally about 9 days before the event which would fall at a weekend so my guess is this Friday or next Monday

Dave, you are just eagerly awaiting for the invite announcements aren't you? I suspect This Friday or early next week. The 12th seems unofficially confirmed.

When they say a pre-order on Friday September 15 at midnight, do you think that is Thursday night into Friday or Friday into Saturday?
When they say "September 15 at Midnight" it normally means late Thursday night as it becomes Friday morning. Last year, it started at 12:01 AM Pacific Time on Friday morning, meaning you would stay up on Thursday night.
