Will apple skip event announce and just release an iphone without introduce :cool:

That is a Big Suprise |||||

No they won't skip the event, this is the 10th anniversary of the iPhone they won't miss that opportunity. Invites haven't gone out yet because the event isn't going to be until the 12th (that's what it's all pointing towards now)

I have an iPhone 7 128 GB that I'm happy with. But my wife broke her iPhone, and is on an old iPhone 5C with a broken screen as a temporary replacement until the new iPhones come out. She's probably going to go for a 7S Plus, but it really depends on what is announced. She might just get a 7 Plus at the new lower price instead.

I should note - she works for a carrier, so will get a discount on not-current-generation phones, too. (At her carrier, employees don't get discounts on the current generation phones, but a huge discount on prior-generation, even if they're still on sale.)

Many people don't care.

I would guess that most of the people following a thread about the event are looking forward to seeing it or at least getting the highlights. But it does seem that in every thread on the internet there are those people who are there just to tell everyone that they're not interested in what's being discussed.

This may be the new interface on the iPhone 8, that will replace the home button;

I think invites will go out either Thursday (Tomorrow) or Tuesday, September 6th - they definitely won't come out on a Friday and be end of week news, and they definitely wouldn't come out on Monday (Labor Day). My money is on Tuesday, September 6th.

I like your logic but wouldn’t the first Tuesday of September be the 5th?

Didn't think about the news thing, you're right, they would want all the news to write about the invites, so next Tuesday is most likely.

Apple really going late with the invites this year, only 7 days prior.

The event will be on the 12th, decoration and all that stuff doesn't take Apple long to sort out, they can easily do it in a week, last year the event invites were sent out 9 days before it's easily enough time.

Pre-orders for both the 7s, 7s Plus and the iPhone 8 will probably take place on the 15th with a release on the 22nd September. I very much doubt that most people will get an iPhone 8 on release date tho if supply is an issue, however it will depend on whether people are willing to spend the £1000 on the iPhone 8, if not there might be enough available for those of us who are to receive them on launch day but we shall see.
