Seems like the trend is that Apple is fulfilling orders in the first half of March right now as we're seeing original order dates from the 8th to 15th. Or maybe it batches by week? Who knows.

I'm very impatient for mine to arrive as my Mac Studio has been sitting here for a week attached to a very poor quality 1080p display, which means I can't use it day to day for design work, etc . . .

Hi all. I've been lurking these forums for years and finally decided to make an account due to how helpful this thread has been. Figured I owe ya'll so here's my update:

Model: Standard/Tilt + Height
Order date: 18 March
Original delivery estimate: May 17 - May 31
Delayed delivery estimate (received this notification on 5/28): June 30 - Jul 8
Actual delivery: June 1
Location: St. Louis, MO

Yesterday, I read that someone here checked their UPS Choice account to see any pending shipments and voila, I also noticed a 40 lb delivery scheduled for tomorrow from "AI". I received the official update from Apple 5 minutes ago. So I'm assuming many of the delays may actually just be a couple days.

Good luck!
Same exact situation here!

My order was March 19th - it shipped this morning, due to arrive on Tuesday now. But I've only got tracking detail for the local courier - so seems the screens have all shipped in a batch to our countries? And are then being shipped out from a central dispatch? Whereas the Mac Studio I had tracking detail all the way from China.

When did you place your order?

Finally it's moving, and getting closer.

Standard Glass - VESA
Ordered March 28, 2021
Delivers: 5/25 - 6/9
No delays yet.
Processing Status Change: 6/2
Preparing to Ship: 6/2
Shipped: 6/2
It finally shipped around 11:45 AM and coming from Carlsile, PA, which is about an hour and a half where I live. I can't wait, although I ordered a 2 meter Thunderbolt 3 cable as the one provided is too short. Hopefully it reaches the Caldigit Thunerbolt 3 dock. We'll find it if the dock can handle a 5K monitor and a 2K display, although it should since it has DSC.

I opted for standalone VESA mount stand since my desk will probably not handle a monitor arm. I will eventually replace the desk with a solid surface one in the future. Might not look pretty, but it's functional unlike the tilt only one and paying stupid amount of money for a height adjustment one.

I ordered on March 30th, regular online store for delivery to Seattle.

My delivery window started on the 27th and ends in 11 days on June 13th. I sure hope it doesn't slip . . .

My delivery window end date is June 7th - which is when the courier says they'll be delivering it.
Hopefully same (or better) applies for everyone else!

I ordered on April 4th, and the original window is June 2nd -> June 16th. Mine is still in Processing, but I suppose it's possible it will still get here before the 16th. Sooner would be better, but I do have a monitor I can use in the interim so all is good.

The biggest downside is it will be harder for me to get rid of stuff now.

"...remember that time you were glad to have that old monitor?" the clutter gremlin will say, and will be right.

Waiting for UPS delivery day 4.
Apple felt bad enough about UPS’s total failure that they decided to refunded me 70€. They‘ve started an investigation into the order. At this point, I’m afraid the monitor is trading hands in a back street of Saint Petersburg, but still have my fingers crossed that it will show up.

The studio display finally came around 12:30 and I set up the VESA mount.Just waiting for the 2M Thunderbolt 3 cable that should come later today. Didn't take that long to set up the mount, although I needed to tighten the tilt screw.

The LG Colorprime became my secondary monitor and I moved the Dell 27 2K monitor to my Mac Studio setup. May not look as pretty as the Apple Stand as it makes it look like a somewhat generic monitor, but it beats paying $400 for a height adjustable one, which is egregiously priced. Can't wait to actually use it later today. tempImageVDbOBt.png tempImagepCoSUB.png tempImagell7woZ.png

probably a dumb question but -- why do a lot of users opt for the VESA mount and then mount it on a stand instead of a wall? Is it to rotate the display? is it to have the option to wall-mount it vs having it on a VESA stand?

I went with the VESA Mount because I already had the Ergotron LX Mount which I have been using for the last 11 years. A VESA mount/arm allows you to position your displays anywhere on your desk and setup them in landscape or portrait mode. VESA mount is by far the most versatile option out of the three.

For me, it provides the most versatility, since it is a purchase time decision that cannot be changed after the fact. In my case, I too am using a arm mount, since that allows for a wide range of positioning without any table top obstructions. If I decided at some later date to mount it to a stand, then I could do that. I doubt I'd ever mount it to a wall, but that too is an option.

Got mine already looking to return it. The refresh rate just isn't up to par with comparable displays and it is noticeable to me. Disappointing as the refresh rate on my outgoing 27" iMac was higher as is my MBP.

What was the refresh rate on your iMac?

How’s the Opal?
I’ve been really enjoying it. The exposure and lighting control has been excellent. As is the background blur —about the best I’ve seen with a clear separation of hair from the environment.

The software has the greatest opportunity for growth. Auto framing is a touch too sensitive but they’re working on resolving this. The software for adjustments can be a tiny bit buggy but it’s also in beta.

Hardware is super well done and feels absolutely solid. I think it also looks great.

Definitely an expensive device but if you’re on calls a lot, very worth it.

Do you mean response time?

The refresh rate is identical to the iMac (the MBP does do up to 120Hz). Personally I can see no difference in refresh rate between the ASD driving my new MBP and my old 2019 iMac.

I think the response time is very slightly longer, but using it for 4 days now I no longer notice it using the Magic Trackpad 2 as an input device - I've adjusted to very the slight difference. Try sticking with it and see if you adapt.

The 27" iMac refresh rate is 120Hz but the brand new Studio display is only 60Hz. While I love Apple products that is just dumb.

Anyone else with a Nano/tilt/height - ordered 3/8 (in US) that is still in 'processing'?
I have a shipping window of 6/7-6/14 - was hoping to see some movement - preparing to ship by
this weekend - but still hasn't moved since 3/8
Almost seems like they forgotten about my order.
