I Ordered just the standard Studio Display April 4. No movement whatsover on my order. I understand Apple cannot just blink and move assembly somewhere else, but can they at least be forthcoming and say, orders have started to ship, no movement, some movement? Maybe even let you know where you are in line???
In my case I ordered the Studio, Studio display, keyboard and mouse. Well, I got everything VERY early except of course the monitor. Other than this forum no one is really talking about the wait times for the monitor. Macbooks yes, but it seems they were able to churn out Studios, but no monitors. My Studio was even customized (2TB SSD) and arrived early.
The Problem for me is more complex as I traded in my 27“ 2019 Imac for the Studio using Apple’s trade in kit, so right now I have an unusable set-up because I have no monitor to even test my Studio. (No I don’t Have a TV or anything else to use at the moment…) Instead of linking the exchange kit with the last item of my order to ship, say the monitor, Apple linked it to the Mac Studio (which arguably should have been the last item to ship). Apple would not commit to extend the trade in value originally quoted beyond the 15 day window you are required to ship your trade in back, so I figured, I’d only be without a computer for a week. (At the time Apple told me the monitor would ship from the U.S. and not from China). I have an iPad Pro and am trying to make due on basic tasks, but now my ship dates are more than two months away from my order date and all calling the number does is get them to give me faster shipping once it ships or check local stores to see if they have any in stock—(They don’t). The Apple representatives on the phone should at least know the status of shipments in general, and the fact that they don’t I think is what annoys me the most (other than of course, the waiting).
