I Ordered just the standard Studio Display April 4. No movement whatsover on my order. I understand Apple cannot just blink and move assembly somewhere else, but can they at least be forthcoming and say, orders have started to ship, no movement, some movement? Maybe even let you know where you are in line???

In my case I ordered the Studio, Studio display, keyboard and mouse. Well, I got everything VERY early except of course the monitor. Other than this forum no one is really talking about the wait times for the monitor. Macbooks yes, but it seems they were able to churn out Studios, but no monitors. My Studio was even customized (2TB SSD) and arrived early.

The Problem for me is more complex as I traded in my 27“ 2019 Imac for the Studio using Apple’s trade in kit, so right now I have an unusable set-up because I have no monitor to even test my Studio. (No I don’t Have a TV or anything else to use at the moment…) Instead of linking the exchange kit with the last item of my order to ship, say the monitor, Apple linked it to the Mac Studio (which arguably should have been the last item to ship). Apple would not commit to extend the trade in value originally quoted beyond the 15 day window you are required to ship your trade in back, so I figured, I’d only be without a computer for a week. (At the time Apple told me the monitor would ship from the U.S. and not from China). I have an iPad Pro and am trying to make due on basic tasks, but now my ship dates are more than two months away from my order date and all calling the number does is get them to give me faster shipping once it ships or check local stores to see if they have any in stock—(They don’t). The Apple representatives on the phone should at least know the status of shipments in general, and the fact that they don’t I think is what annoys me the most (other than of course, the waiting).

After 4 days in the hands of our local UPS drover, I still don’t have the ASD. They also havent scanned it in over 24 hours, and I’m assuming it’s been lost or stolen until I see otherwise.
It’s going to be an “interesting” Monday. As next steps are to report the driver and see what Apple will do to remedy the situation.
This display was very important to me, and last week was hell. I’m feeling pretty dejected, and wondering if it’s worth it at this point.

In any case, I need to hand it over to Apple I can’t spend another day under house arrest.

What is your delivery time line? My order (Standard/VESA) took 66 days to get shipped, within 9 days when the delivery window started on May 25th. I would expect Apple to manufacture more of the standard glass, tilt only model since it’s the base compared to the VESA, which is rare, but somehow got it little over 2 months without delays.

If you are near by an Apple Store, use the Inventory Checker. I see that Nano Tilt Studio Displays are becoming available once in a while, but cost a little more than the standard glass.

June 10-17. It was originally May 04 delivery date.

I can get a Nano version at BH Photo here in New York City but I don’t want a nano version.

Also, you mention Inventory checker, not sure what that is other than just going to the Apple Website (or calling) and seeing if there are any available for pick-up.

I am in a similar situation: ordered a Mac Studio, Studio display, keyboard & mouse on 3/27, and all arrived long ago, except for the display. I also attempted to trade in a 27" iMac (2017 in my case) on this order. A total of three iMac trade-in boxes have been sent to me, and the first two trade-ins expired before I could use them. Each time I called Apple and they re-initiated the trade-in, resulting in a new box being sent to me.

The trade-in was distinctly associated with the Mac Studio purchase only, which arrived more than a month ago, which is less than ideal in a case like mine, or yours, since, without the display, we are left without a working system. I wish trade-ins could be associated with an entire order rather than to a single item.

Same here. My biggest issue with this is that Apple told me they could extend the trade in period, but when I asked them about the quoted price, they said they wouldn’t know until they put the extension in because those prices are based on depreciating values. That was unacceptable to me. There should have been automatic extensions and original quotes should have been honored. It’s not our fault they cannot provide the hardware for an adequate replacement. At any rate, I took a gamble based on the information that I had and lost in the sense that I’m not a month plus without a useable computer. Thank you apple!

My guess is that it will probably ship on June 9th and get to you on the 10th since that will be around 66 day timeline I had. Since my order was a late March one, they should be shipping out early April orders soon.

I’d love to be optimistic about that! I’m thinking it might be longer as I don’t think there was any movement of monitors in the month of May. There were extensive lockdowns from Covid where they apparently assemble these, and then a huge riot broke out last month at the factory. My guess is they focused on the computer side and the monitor went to the wayside. In theory Shanghai has re-opened as of June 1 so I think they finished up what was left almost done and shipped it out.

However, there is also a mass exodus of people trying to leave the city so whose to know if that includes people from the factory? This is why I would like to hear from Apple about the movement of their products. Yes this is unprecedented so Apple needs to be as well and actually communicate with it’s customers.

As for the app inventory tracker, I looked it up. It seems to run on Macs and right now I don’t have one (no monitor). Only an iPad Pro. Apple did tell me that back orders to customers with pre-existing orders are the first priority, then retail stores. Let’s see if that remains true. They did at least upgrade me to priority shipping, which means nothing until they have a product to ship.

In and around the D.
My standard glass + VESA mount Studio Display was ordered 3/23 and arrived 6/3.

Early impressions: I’m thrilled with the overall build quality and the display itself is, as expected, terrific. Speakers aren’t quite as good as my stereo-paired HomePod minis, but they are great for built in speakers. I expect they’ll be plenty good for video meetings and will still use my HomePods or AirPods when I want to listen to music. Won’t get to do a video call until Monday, so I’ll be curious what (if anything) my co-workers think… I’ll let that be the true test of the quality (we all know it’s not great; it’ll just be interesting to me if anyone thinks it’s better or worse than the built-in camera in my 16” 2019 MacBook Pro).

Especially at the price, this display is not for everyone. But it’s perfect for me and I’m extremely happy.

FYI There are currently about 41 Apple Stores (mostly in the south) that have a Standard Tilt ASD in stock right now and about 89 stores with the Nano Tilt ASD.

via Zach's inventory checker.
Does Zach’s inventory checker work on an iPad/iPhone? That’s all I have access to now

Yes, it's a Discord bot.
There are Discord apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac and it also works on the web. (I strongly recommend the app though)

Once you have the app:
https://discord.gg/GBvyxzDU

If you're looking for a tilt-height, you're probably going to be disappointed . . . there hasn't been more than 2-3 stocked total in the entire US over the past several weeks

Thanks! The MacBook is actually sitting on my Elevation Lab DraftTable for iPad Pro right now. Haven’t yet decided what will be the more permanent solution.

Have they missed the original projected ship date? My original ship date has it arriving no later than June 7th and it looks like mine is going to hit that date. If they haven't missed the window yet then their original projected date is still valid.

I ordered mine on March 23 in UK. Thet status still says "Processing, Arrives 24 May - 9 Jun". I had a chat with support two days ago and they assured me it will arrive on or before 9 Jun, even if it's still "Processing". Only 4 days to go, so we'll see 🤞

My order was on March 19th I think. The delivery window was 20 May - 7 June.
It’s finally with my local courier for delivery today. So looks like they are hitting the end of their delivery windows now. At least, the revised ones.

What I did notice was that I got shipping and tracking details for the Mac all the way from China.
But the display I‘ve only had the tracking available since the display arrived in the UK, last Thursday. So it feels like nothing is happening for a lot longer, and suddenly it’s only a few days between being told it’s shipped and it arriving.

3/31 order, standard glass with tilt+height adjustment (USA) still in Processing purgatory. I'm hoping it will make the original window (which hasn't been changed...yet!) of May 30 - June 14.
