Check system settings > Displays: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/change-displays-settings-mchlca6faa13/13.0/mac/13.0Hi,
Recently I bought two Studio Displays. I replaced with Dell UltraSharp series and I'm happy to do that.
I have a small issue about the colours.
When I arrange the displays, main display colour is getting brighter and colder than extended display. And if I change the order, this time other display getting brighter (sharper) than extended. Extended screen turn to softer.
Brightness level, firmware, everything same. As I mentioned, when I change the main screen, colour tone and brightness slightly changing on the extended screen.
How can I see same tone and brightness on both of the screen?
I think it is sourced in the operating system design but there is no any option in the user settings.
Anyone know the solution?
OS Ventura 13.4 - Apple M1 Pro
Thank you.
yes when I talked with Apple Support, they sent me the same link. But as I mention, when I change the main screen on arrange window, always main screen getting more bright and sharp and extended display getting soft colours. This is not monitor specific setting or physical problem. Because if I move bar on the arrange window and change the main screen, selected main screen always getting brighter (because extended monitor getting more warm colours). There is no any option in the settings menu. Thank you for trying.Check system settings > Displays: https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/change-displays-settings-mchlca6faa13/13.0/mac/13.0
Turn off TrueTone and see if that helps. Not the best solution necessarily, but just a helpful experiment to narrow the problem.yes when I talked with Apple Support, they sent me the same link. thank you for your suggestion. my temporary solution is reducing the brightness of the main screen around %15 than extended screen. it's a stupid solution and it can be a headache when brightness is automatic.Turn off TrueTone and see if that helps. Sorry to hear that. So annoying!I had the same issue.
The only solution I have found is turning off TrueTone and auto-brightness.
So dumb!
I've done the same thing, though I always turn off auto-brightness and TrueTone on my Mac. For some reason I prefer it that way. They're turned on for both my iPads, interestingly enough, where I'm fine with it. But for whatever reason, I dislike it on my Mac.I had the same issue.

They should really make an option to average True Tone and Auto Brightness between all of your monitors.I had the same issue.

I'd take just the ability to adjust the brightness simultaneously on multiple displaysThey should really make an option to average True Tone and Auto Brightness between all of your monitors.
Little app called Monitor Control. Handles my two ASD, even keeps a slight offset between the two (main slightly brighter than secondary).I'd take just the ability to adjust the brightness simultaneously on multiple displays
Not sure why but I'm hesitant to install any 3rd party stuff. If MacOS doesn't do it, I generally avoid it. Al Dente on the laptops being the exception.Little app called Monitor Control. Handles my two ASD, even keeps a slight offset between the two (main slightly brighter than secondary).
Your concern is understood. I'm mostly the same way, but I do have this and Al Dente Pro installed (along with Rectangle Pro and Smooze Pro) and it's been pretty bullet proof. Not sure why but I'm hesitant to install any 3rd party stuff. My main two concerns with the nano-texture glass was its durability (try as I might, sometimes my screen gets touched -- by others, not me) and cleaning it (sometimes my coffee thermos lid creates micro-splashes). It does cut down on sharpness just a tad but I was more worried about the other issues.I also have a 30" ACD and went to look at the 27" ASDs. They had both versions and to my surprise, I really disliked the nano texture - it basically made text look blurry to me, more similar to a non retina screen. Sharp text is so important to me, the whole point that I'm looking to upgrade...
Via visits to the Apple Store, it looks identical to me.I have not had a chance to see a ASD with nano texture. I currently still have my ACD 30" and I am wondering if the texture and reflection avoidance is the same. I love my ACD. I work on a bright environment with lots of windows and the standard screen is so distracting. I barely look at my MBP Max screen.
Just got an email asking me to finish payment setup for Apple Care+ on my Apple Studio Display. Now it shows in my subscriptions.Well, I joined the club today. Went from a $400 Samsung 32' Ultra Wide 4k monitor to this and wow. It is amazing. The text is so sharp and everything so vivid... as someone who works at home - this is going to be perfect.
Curious how to link the AppleCare+ annual plan to my Apple ID? It doesn't show up in my devices yet - not sure if it will. Maybe I don't have to for this like my other devices?
Edit: Doesn't look like it will: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/add-studio-display-to-apple-my-devices.2339399/
I have gotten rid of iPads in my life (went back and forth quite a bit) - I can easily say that reading on this is iPad Pro and better. It's nice to have my monitor instantly turn on when coming back from sleeping.
Absolutely Amazing. Looking forward to not having to have an external mic attached for work meetings anymore.
Does anyone have any wallpaper apps that they can recommend or a site where one can download some more wallpapers that are appropriately sized for the Apple Studio Display? Also which resolution should I be looking for when trying to find the right sized wallpaper? Thank you!
