(

Mine still says "Arnhem Hub".. so I called them up.. a very nice lady answered the phone and told me it's been delayed 24 hrs and then proceeded to blame Shanghai !

How they can blame Shanghai when it's been sitting in Holland for the last 3-4 days, I do not know..

I took the day off work to be here to sign for this package.

not happy :(

My main hope for the new box is that it cures the occasional sluggish menus and stuttering video of the first version. Hopefully with it being iOS based and more powerful we won't have anything to worry about.

Have been told/seen in the reviews that that issue has been resolved. COuld have been in this video review they mentioned it but I am not sure.

I do find it utterly pathetic how TNT can't get a shipment from China to the UK in 7 days. A complete shambles of an organisation and I have no idea why Apple continues to use them over UPS.

Let me let you into a secret: they're cheaper.

Quick first impression

Really, really small - shiny - plugged in, set up and tested. Flawless discovery of wifi, picked up home iTunes libraries, played a biut of a movie, watched a film trailer (Megamind - who knew?), played a TV episode, watched Youtube, changed some settings.

Awesome - and it just works too

Once I have stopped grinning I'll post a more detailed review but so far I am really, really impressed.

Just got mine, pain in the butt trying to find the MAC address, but after pressing Menu on the remote a few times I managed to get into settings! I also have a Netflix option, what!

Yay mine says it's here on their website!!! The kind man left it in my shed as I wasn't it!

Well when i called TNT - i was told they don't move international freight over a weekend and it should be on its way to the UK today. I was also told as they have until Wednesday to deliver mind theres no need to chase it. So i guess i'm getting mine on Wednesday a full 8 days after it was shipped. So much for the express delivery!!

claim to Apple..

I year or so ago I had a delayed shipment for something from Apple. The currier was saying it was going to be another week, phoned Apple and it was in my hands the next day!

I'm another person in the Arnhem club, wish they'd just get on with it.

When I spoke to them on the phone yesterday, they claimed it was in the UK for delivery today, and the Arnhem was an error, but obviously that was a lie.

I've spoken to them a few times today and they assure me that it's on its way to the UK and should be out for delivery tomorrow, I'll believe it when I see it though! The whole thing has been somewhat shambolic in my opinion!

Shame on TNT, and Apple for choosing them for our pre-orders to the UK!

wesome - and it just works

Indeed. Very impressed by the speed with which this little thing is up and running. From giving the TNT man my signature to streaming my first movie from my Mac was less than five minutes. Fab.

Guys, I've only just moved so am still waiting for my internet connection to be set up, Not so bothered about going onto the itunes store with it just yet but does the set up require an internet connection?

Mines arrived in Dublin. Works as advertised, which is nice. Can rent movies on it, got the impression that wouldn't work in Ireland yet. <shrug>

Set-up didn't obviously need an Internet connection. Actually, Home Sharing might, not sure how that works - does it have to talk to the iTunes store?

No, aslong as you have a home network, ie your computer is connected to a router and your Apple TV is connected to the same router then it will work, no need for an internet connection unless you want to rent or buy stuff.

Mine has been out for delivery since 08:39, still cant believe that TNT have not been yet....

Cheers, I have my wireless set up already so fingers crossed it will work as soon as I get home.

Mine had been out for delivery since 9am and only showed up half hour ago, hang in there fella!

Really annoyed

Rang TNT this morning as according to the tracker my Apple TV has been sitting at Arnhem Hub since Friday evening. The bloke I spoke to checked my details and assured me that it was on it's way today. He said the tracking site had not been updated "for whatever reason". So I have waited in all day today. Just rung TNT again as still no sign of my package, only to be told it is still at Arnhem Hub! It has been there longer than it took to get there from Hong Kong!! Really really annoyed - loads of things I cold have been doing today. Apple had notified me they had up graded my delivery option - what a joke!!!

I've just called Apple to complain, and I'd urge you all to do the same if yours, like mine, is stuck in Arnhem, NL. It might not do you any material good, but at least it will let Apple know how bad the service is from TNT.

I just told the operator that it has been apparently in the Netherlands since Friday and that the TNT operators do nothing but lie whenever you call them, and you get a different story from each.

I live in hope that mine might come tomorrow, but I can't say I'm very hopeful at all!

No sign of mine yet, I have a funny feeling as its getting on in the day the website will soon say "failed delivery" and it'll be tomorrow now. Oh well, not to worry.

Mine arrived this morning.. Playing around with it, yet YouTube subscriptions don't work.

Now Apple need to get a contract with AT LEAST Sky to get Sky Player, and then BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD, 5 Demand :)

Ok am i being silly or with the new apple tv can you not watch trailers of upcoming films?

In other news Apple announce Flash on iOS and a free Euromillions winning ticket for all Mac users...

I agree that all would be nice but I can't see it. iPlayer is the most likely it just needs a safari portal but the others are all Flash based or in the case of Sky I think locked into an exclusivity deal on 360 (not sure but I think I read it somewhere). Apologies for the rampant sarcasm on the first paragraph :)
