I placed my pre-order yesterday (11 September). I haven't had my card charged yet. I guess it will be charged 2 or 3 days after placing my order?

Yeah, that happens to me a lot as well and it’s very frustrating
Well update, after trying to change the payment method again, and it seeming like it failed once more I got a notification from my banking app the money was taken and checking the Apple Store app it’s changed to processing and the payment method has also changed to the card instead of Apple Pay, getting it on the 20th.

You’d think Apple Pay would be the most seamless method.

Had a text from my bank yesterday evening to confirm it was me buying a couple of watches and another purchase. Confirmed then later that night had a notification from Apple Wallet that my card had been suspended! By the time I grabbed my phone to ring them & kick off I had another saying it was now ready for ApplePay.

Must have been some automated system catching up or something. 🤷🏻

I wonder if it'd be even better to just load the money on to your Apple account? It's instant and then Apple already have it all.
Only if you don't want to add Apple Care. Don't ask me know I know

My order from yesterday is being prepared to ship. And Apple balance is now empty.

I ordered the AW 10 46mm in black with black sport loop via EE, took a little while for the guys on the phone to find the correct model but in the end they found it and it's down for a release day arrival, which is cool. So sort of downgrading (side swap?!?) from AWU series 1, whilst I do like it I couldn't justify going to the ultra 2 (if there had been an ultra 3 then I might have stayed on the ultra line), but I think going from ultra to the thinner series 10 will be a nice change.

I’m also going for AWU1 to jet black 10.

I have loved the ultra but for daily wear I’m looking forward to a lighter watch.

I feel I don’t make any use of the sleep tracking as it’s too heavy to wear overnight.

I’ll keep the ultra for when I need battery life - eg bike rides.

So have I, but to return one of them, just not sure which one yet… are you keeping both?
Planning to keep both yeah

Series 10 for work and certain occasions and ultra 2 for all workouts, sleep tracking and times where I know I will need the battery. Think I can find a good use case for both

Curry’s have extra £50 trade in against an AW10. My series 7 alu 45mm is £85 plus extra £50. However it’s Curry’s and likely will make a fuss over one small mark.

I've also ordered an AW10 from Curry's to get the extra £50 trade in (offered £60 + £50 for my series 6 alu 40mm).

Should I have received anything from them about the trade in once the order was confirmed? I was expecting an email or something on next steps but received nothing.

I've also ordered an iPhone 16 Pro from them (also offering an extra £50 trade in - on top of the £1 offered for a very old 6S in a drawer!). Again, I haven't received anything further about the trade in... and I hope they won't be fussy over a £1 trade in - there are a few minor scuffs on the phone but it's a working phone as per the definition on the Currys trade in site...).

Caved in and pre-ordered the Series 10 46mm in Jet Black to upgrade from my Series 7.
Collecting next Saturday from Bluewater.

Very excited!

I'm also interested in trading in my Apple Watch Series 7 due to the extra £50 on top + Monzo is doing 4% cashback at Currys so I'll get like £16 extra. Do you need to include the watch band and charging cable? Looking at the Apple trade-in, you only include the watch and no accessories, but Currys is vague and their trade-in team hasn't got live chat.

I'd assumed that it was only the watch itself without the band and charging cable - that seems to be what other trade in companies generally require.

I know this thread is about pre-orders but as it’s a UK thread I thought I would ask this question… does anyone know how much it is in Vodafone to add on an Apple Watch cellular connection if you’re not buying the watch from them? I did it on EE a few years ago and seem to remember it was £7 ish a month but no idea what it is on voda and whenever I google it all the information seems to be about buying a watch from them which is not what I want to do

Been trying 3 days to order through O2 but because my series 6 is on there and paid off they couldn’t remove it to replace the connection.

17 credit checks later and my credit is shot

so I’ve just gone direct to apple and purchased there
46mm Titanium slate. Delivery is 20th October ☹️

or pick up from store on Friday (which I can’t do unfortunately) so I must wait very Very impatiently

It’s £7 pm for O2 so I would guess similar

Believe it's £7 same for other carriers

I made the mistake of trying on an AW U2 at the Apple Shop at the weekend. It didn't feel as big as I was expecting it to on the wrist, now I'm wondering if I should have gone for that...

Same happened to me when the ultra first released. Had to go into store to collect a case for my iPhone and tried the ultra and fell in love with it. Was still within the 14 days so returned the S8 to get one. Don't think I could go back now. Ordered a S10 for my Mum though as can't get her to convert.

I routinely wear an Omega Seamaster Professional; this is an automatic dive watch that comes in at 49.6mm lug to lug, 42mm across and 13.7mm thick.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 comes in at 49mm lug to lug, 44mm across and 14.4mm thick. It’s also quite light.

While it may look big on paper in the grand scheme of things an AWU2 is not far off other “sports” watches and I think people should try these things on before they buy.

For what it’s worth, I went with the smaller size AW10 because I’ll be wearing it on my other wrist and I’m hoping that the smaller and slimmer profile will mean it gets banged around a bit less while I get used to having two watches again (had a Fitbit years ago).
