Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

I updated my IOS for my iphone and my watch. I have to for security reasons for my job. They require that my iphone be updated to the latest software so i just update my watch also.

I don’t understand why you would not want to update your watch software.
Of course I want to update and I did .It was just a question as far a setting up the new one with backup or not .

Do you have a Series 3? If software is working for you, you should always carefully assess whether it's worth upgrading. What benefits are you getting from the upgrade? Is is solving an issue you had? New feature? If not, there might be more risk than benefit. Especially with new watches coming with a lower SW version, it's simpler to not upgrade.

And I have the same job requirements to be on current software but I don't get nagged until weeks after a release.

It really depends on the band. if the new band is more expensive, you’ll be charged the difference. If the new band is less expensive…actually unsure what they’d do in that case.
In the case of going from Sport band to Milanese loop, I wish the difference I pay is $1019 - $959 = $60 (without tax)… not the full price of milanese loop.

Yes it is (see my post above yours). I confirmed this with an apple rep. That’s why I booked an ISPU for the graphite SS.
I also just talked with Apple Support just in case, but they told me otherwise... They said it's because "when you purchase the Apple Watch it will be a package. And if you will be swapping the band to your preferred band at the store, it will be as the whole unit with the Apple Watch itself. Unless the band was purchased separately then, you might be lucky to exchange it".

Question for some with multiple orders: Can you have the same AW on trade-in on two separate orders at the same time?

Why I'm asking - I'm considering starting a new order for a SS for in store pickup (still avail on 10/15) - but I already have my Al S6 Cellular order "Processing" with the Apple Store with my trade-in tied to it. So, if anyone has swapped orders, were you able to put a trade-in for the same watch on two different orders; or did you cancel your first order w/ Trade-in and make the new one? Just trying to make sure I have a good order for the SS with Trade-in if/before I jump ship on the Al version. Thanks!
When I ordered my iPad mini 6 I traded in my iPad. Realized I forgot to go through the Apple store and did a second order using the same exact iPad for trade-in, then cancelled the original order.

I have several orders with the same trade in. The system doesn’t seem to care.

Yeah it’s weird that they’re giving mixed messages. The phone agent I spoke with had to talk to her manager and confirmed that I could swap the band. If they give me any flack I’ll pull up the text conversation I had with the apple rep yesterday.

Any hot tips for a 41mm graphite or gold SS band combo that might be worth stalking for in stock pick up? I have an aluminum set for pickup but am regretting not ordering SS when I woke up to preorder. My SS preorder I made later won’t come until November of course.

My earlierst order from Apple still says 20. - 22.10.
But they already charged the card and it says prepairing for shipment.
Hopefully i'll get it a bit sooner.

Check your area stores for the 41mm SS Graphite with Abyss Blue sport band combo - specifically. Seems to be a popular stock combo that has in-store availability for several folks here.

I’m also wondering if anyone has seen any specific Graphite 45mm combinations available for pickup?

I have not seen the 45mm in Graphite, any combo, for in store pick-up on launch day. My Graphite SS is being delivered to me on launch day.

I’ve found the 45 but not the 41 with the Abyss Blue. I am going to keep checking though! I have lots of bands I really like already so I have to stick with the smaller size.

Interesting to hear all this, I just assumed it would murder battery life and turned it straight off. Never even tried it.
Clearly I shouldn't just dismiss it - I'll try it from friday, and see what I think.
The watch is literally designed to accommodate it as a main feature. No issues with battery life, and haven't had AOD turned off since my first s5.
