Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

Portland metro and other people have seen it in LA and maybe Texas as well?
Chicago too, specific to the 41mm size. Not true for 45mm.

There used to be a web site that you told it what you wanted and how close and it monitored apple store sites and sent you a text when availability showed up for iPhone. Does that exist anymore and does it work for Watch

That’s the one I need and can’t find in Portland!
Yeah it's annoying because I want the 45mm and can't get that here! I'd suggest a purchase and exchange with each other if it weren't so complicated and prone to more issues than just waiting.

To be honest, it doesn't make sense. If I choose SS graphite and a tornado/gray sport loop, it shows unavailable for pickup on 10/15. However, if I choose the same watch but a different sport band, it shows available. What makes zero sense is that I can choose the tornado/gray sport loop for pickup (just the band) on 10/15, and the same watch but with a different band for 10/15, so their system is totally out of wack.
The watch/band combos are put together at the factory in China, not in your local Apple store. The Apple store gets certain pre-packaged combos for store pickup, sealed together, watch and band. The local store's stock of individual bands is irrelevant to the combos you are able to pre-order.

in the past, the band you ordered with your AW was stuck together and the band cannot be swapped out unless you returned the entire thing… i really hope they changed this policy

I confirmed with Apple that you can exchange the band for size only through online store. If you find a different band you want in a physical Apple Store, you can exchange for it. It can be any band, as long as they have it in stock.

Can you still print the package releases so that UPS will leave the package without someone being home? I'm not finding it if you can.

I have not seen the 45mm in Graphite, any combo, for in store pick-up on launch day. My Graphite SS is being delivered to me on launch day.
I pick up my graphite with midnight sport band on Friday from my nearest Apple Store in the U.K. If I waited for delivery it would’ve been the 3rd of November

I pre ordered the exact same combo as you. I ordered by 8:03am EDT and got a launch day delivery. I was very lucky.

My order was also in by 13.03(8.03). I just found it bizarre that was such a quick order that I would’ve had to wait until November but I could reserve in store so I don’t think there were any stock in the UK for delivery

Btw one thing for people who've sold their old AW (or are planning to). I unpaired mine, reset it, checked it'd disappeared from "find my", but just spotted it in the ios store app still listed. Managed to remove it by going to icloud on my mac and removing it there, but I didn't realise that was a step I needed to do :/

yep so what I do is unpair it, Log onto the cloud using my Macbook. Remove it from the cloud and from findmy. That way it’s not tied into your account and won’t ask for your password when you sell it on and someone else tries to set it up
