Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

Was just at the apple store doing a trade in and casually asked when the series 7 will come out not expecting an answer. The apple clerk responded “not until November.” I replied, “ heard rumors it might be announced next week” He said ”no, November and at the earliest late October.”

That person has no idea and is full of crap. Retail people aren’t told anything before the public. They find out the same time we do.

The green aluminum looked super nice in the videos. If it looks that good in real life Apple will get some more of my $$.

The Apple clerk is so clueless lol. There’s no way Apple will be waiting until November to release an Apple Watch.

Will ordering a custom config on pre-order day delay my order at all? I know Apple makes standard configs like what they sell on Amazon and in their stores, but Apple.con has the “create your style” feature that allows you to mix and match bands. Should I just order as standard to get it as soon as possible?

Probably not. At first Apple should have stock of all bands, hence of all combinations. But you gotta be quick for sure.

Can anyone remember if the prices were announced at the keynote?
Just the starting price (399 $), which stayed the same. I would expect all models to cost the same as before.

I wonder if Apple Watch Studio will be available ahead of time to choose the band and case combo for pre order day and if they will do the “Pre Pre Order” like they did with the iPhones?

Forgive me for being ignorant (I’ve had the Series 3 for four years, lol), but with the watch getting bigger, will that mean the charging pucks/stations also will be getting bigger? In other words, if I buy something like the Belkin 3 in 1 MagSafe charger, will the watch still fit on there? Is the watch charging “port” bigger as well? Again - I apologize for my ignorance. ?

I’m 100% sure that there won’t be any change to the size of the charging puck. The only difference is that the plug for the series 7 is usb-c.

As a previous employee, they have zero information on what's going on. I can promise you that. We were not given details or even allowed to see new product till 30minutes before the store opened the day of launch.

After being thoroughly underwhelmed by the AWS7, I decided to skip it and stick with my AWS4. But I have nothing else to buy this year, so will probably go for it, justifying this to myself that it is 3 generations old, even though the battery is at 91%. Will hand my AWS4 down to my wife as hers is the Aluminium version and glass is badly scratched.

Will be worth the upgrade for the always on display too
