Absolutely in love coming from space black series 3 feels like a massive upgrade! Been busy doing ECG’s checking my blood o2 and playing around with the watch faces. That always on display means I’m always staring, can’t stop looking at it. Was a bit worried that the graphite wouldn’t be my thing but in the low light it just looks like my s3 black but shinier!
hairy arm picture incoming…

Can someone please explain the difference between these 2 Watch faces styles. Not seeing anything different between the 2. 🤔View attachment 1866621
It’s slight. Look at the corners of the “1” in “10” on the regular vs rounded. And it’s more pronounced on the enlarged numerals

my bad - a page or 2 late. Refresh

Any Titanium owners out there? Can you please post pictures of your Titanium Watch, please? I would greatly appreciate it.

I’ve seen a few mixed in. I don’t know how anyone managed to snag one for today. I tried the second the store opened. I guess it was the luck of what band you picked and if you had to change color?

Can someone explain the "after the fact" trade-in process for gift card? I initiated it for my S4, but it just says drop it off at a Fedex location and show the QR code.

Don't I need like a fancy box to ship it back in? I'm supposed to just hand the watch (I assume no bands) to someone at a Fedex store? Do I include the original band?

"Bring your prepared device to a drop-off location, along with this QR code. Our shipping partner will pack up your device for free and send it off. If you’re trading in multiple devices, you’ll need to show separate QR codes from the emails associated with each trade-in."

With my iPhone, they shipped me a box -- this is weird-er. :)

Got my new green baby. This green is awesome. It’s subtle enough that it looks near black in some lighting. But, the tinge of deep green looks so nice. It’s far more neutral because of this than people may suspect from the Apple website pictures.

Unfortunately, I had my first bad Apple store experience. I will get over it, of course, but it did kinda sour the experience of picking up my first Apple Watch since the S4. Not happy about that part. For anyone who feels like reading it, below is what happened. Otherwise, scroll down past it for pictures of the green Apple Watch Series 7 😀

Here’s my bad Apple Store experience:

When ordering online last week, I had a trade in. I chose Apple Card Monthly Installments along with store pick up and store trade in because it looked like a very simple ordering option combo. With ACMI, I‘d get my trade in value off the price up front, and, according to my order details, all I needed to do was unpair/reset the old Watch and bring it in when I picked up my new Watch. As long as it was in the shape I stated, everything was done in one transaction. No box to send in. No refund to track. Easy peasy, right? Not so fast.

I get there and they bring me my new beauty. I’m thrilled about that. I’ve got my S4 all reset and ready to hand over. Suddenly, the girl helping me tells me they don’t have an option for it to work the way that my order states it should work. She even reads what my order says and seems a bit confused by it. She goes into all these convoluted ways she thinks we can do the trade in. Cancelling the trade in led to some messy sounding result, and she didn’t think it would work. So, she gets a manager to try to figure out how to do this. She seems just as confused after reading my order details.

At this point, my concern is that no matter what we do, something is going to get messed up accounting-wise. I mean, I don’t care how I pay, as long as nothing goes wonky with it. So, the manager thinks the easiest way is to do the trade in as its own transaction. I’ll get a refund to my card, and the Installments amount will adjust accordingly. Fine, I guess…as long as it really does work out that way.

We start the trade in. She asks to see my Watch app. She’s disappointed the Watch is no longer in the app, because she needs the Watch’s serial number. Well, of course it’s no longer in the app, because I unpaired it for trade in. But, I’m able to give her the serial number from the order email. However, she also needs the IMEI number. She asks me if I mind repairing the Watch to my phone so she can get that! I decline. They figure out how to look it up. This whole thing is like a 30 minute process of them trying to figure out what to do. In the end, they offer me a 10% off a band for the hassle. I know it sounds entitled of me, but that didn’t seem like much of an offer, so I passed.

At this point, my order shows as picked up and trade in complete. So, maybe it’ll be okay.

Here are pictures of the green:

Ouch, just a 10% band discount for all that? Not great.

It may be more with Apple's initiative to reduce waste...Maybe that QR code gives the FedEx affiliate the necessary billing code to charge apple for packing and shipping back. Once they scan it, it should basically shift custody of that watch to FedEx and they would be liable if it's lost enroute. Definitely get a receipt for the drop off, w/ Tracking #.

You are supposed to get a box. You only need to ship the watch. You keep the band and charger.

Yep. And, if I weren’t as shameless and bold as I can be, it’d have been nothing at all. They only offered something because I asked. I’ve never done that before anywhere. Most of the time, I totally get that things happen, and I’ve even turned down offered compensation when I felt that there was nothing they could have done to avoid the issue. But, this felt more like bumbling as opposed to “things happen.”

I’ll admit, I was one of those people who said they’d turn off AOD, well, it’s actually a pretty cool feature!😎
I’m the person who has said for the past two years that AOD wasn‘t something I’d care about. I finally upgraded my S4 today. Wasn’t even thinking about AOD, but there it is. I had no idea I needed this lol 😁

Ok, y’all. I’ve done a super duper close-up on Midnight in full sun, and I’m calling it black. You know how some folks with black hair have reddish (warm) undertones in certain light, and some have blueish (cool) undertones? That’s what I’m seeing.

Love it - my first non-silver watch! (Ignore the dust specks!)

It’s a beautiful color. I feel like both the midnight and the green (which I got) are subtle enough to work with just about anything. They present as more neutral than expected.

The midnight Nike with midnight navy band. Absolutely a difference from 4. Even when you bring up the icons when you hit the crown it looks like as if you’re zoomed in on the 4.
The midnight color maybe has a touch of blue but generally black.
Looking at the picture the band is a touch darker in real life.

Okay, get ready because I'm about to say something controversial.

My S7's screen is noticeably paler than my S5's 🥲. And yes, I checked multiple times to make sure they're the same color watchface and everything. They're both on white.
