Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

Yes very likely the scans for some apple devices seem to populate later in transit all the way to Louisville in some cases. The phones this year populated with all the info, including release and then to arrival scans preparing to depart to destination before sitting for 4 days. I suspect UPS date is reasonable, since my watch is expedited rather than express like you got that may explain why mine is a day later than yours.
We don’t have much wait left. Just under a week. So it’s not bad. Im just happy we will have our watched before next weekend is up :)

A lot of people reported they were stuck in China too. So not sure what’s going on over there.
Well in some company cases we get all the info about stuck containers on ships, docks both there and here, and that they are using planes to get some stuff out rather than usual shipping containers. And there are lots of reports how the parts shortages, especially chip shortages are affecting many tech companies. Although Apple dominates the supply from various parts sources over in China and SE Asia compared to these other companies I really believe they finally have hit the same issue, they can only build up so many parts supplies and then manufacture devices during the initial preordering date ranges that slip from opening day through December. But they did and never do have an inventory that covers them say for 6 months after release. There is the big initial pulse then some kind of slowdown to normal fo the next year of a new device before the next new thing is released.

Then there is the problems in getting something to ship for UPS — the planes issue I mentioned. Both probably are factors for Apple having these issues.

Apple is generally pretty secretive it seems to me about any issues it experiences, especially in past year of pandemic in terms of production of its tech in China and SE Asia. It would be nice if they were more honest but then that effects stocks and all that for investors.

Yes that will be nice. My wife wlll be there to receive it so all will be fine. But I am gone from Wednesday thru Sunday so I wont see it til Sunday afternoon but still not bad — basically almost the first day of my original 10/26 to 1/28 date

Im not sure what happened this year. But it looks like Apple’s own system was not reliable this year at all. Now some people are reporting it’s delayed until December. Which is insane.
I still suspect that Apple only had limited models available for 10/15 delivery. I’ve always gone with SS, and have never had such issues with placing an order and seeing a 2-3 week delivery date. I would have preferred a later announcement/launch date if that meant that more models were available and into people’s hands sooner.

Where are these Space Black Titaniums!

Right here! Loving this thing so far. The matte finish is more than enough to make me feel like I got a new watch coming from a SBSS. Glad I sprung for this over the graphite I almost picked up.

I agree with you 100% next Friday should have been a confirmed Apple Watch launch date but I guess Mac event is next week so conflict with the schedule. Atleast AW is out of the way now even though it’s delayed until December sadly.

Thank you for posting the picture. It looks gorgeous. What band are you planning on rocking? Or are you going with a stock option?

Them Apple folks sure are crafty…. iPhone/iPad-September, AW-early October then the Macs mid-Oct. If the Mac Mini is released on Monday, this will be my last Apple purchase until the iPhone 14. 🤞 AND… I still have presents to buy for the upcoming holidays🥺. My family and friends should be good with homemade cookies for presents… Right?🤣

I’ve amassed sport bands in pretty much every color over the years, so I usually swap them based on what matches that day. I’ll be using this stock Grey edition band and maybe clover over the next few days. I got them to swap the sport loop I originally ordered for an abyss blue sport band, so I’ll try that out too.

I have the SB Milanese Loop and some other fabric bands  released a few years back that I’ll try out too.

I’m finally going to pick up a couple of leather links to wear with this one though. I’ll see what the  store has in stock when I go do my trade in on Monday. Looking to pick up the midnight and maybe chalk or the golden brown.

The 💻 is the last item I’m buying this year as well. One more thing and that’s it. Until next year, haha! We’re going to have to activate that saving mode and stay away from Apple store .

In my opinion that SB Milanese Loop is the best combination. It also doesn’t scratch the Watch either.

People seem to like the chalk loop too. I just don’t know how fast it’s going to get dirty. But it does look very sleek

Tell me about it! Looks like it’s going to be PB&J/grilled cheese and the like for me over the next year 🥺🤣.

I live in a townhouse condo. My address is in big black letters directly beside my front door.

Three orders from Apple were due to arrive today: two watches and a case for my iPhone. I had watched the shipping data in the UPS app - the cases arrived at the local UPS depot yesterday evening; the watches arrived at about 9:40 this morning. I expected two different trips, since the watches did not show up as on the truck yet.

Just before 11 this morning, the package containing the case was placed inside my storm door. (The UPS app said “Met Customer”, which was a little white lie.) I was just unwrapping the package when UPS sent me a notice that the watches had also been delivered at the same time, with the same “Met Customer” notation. No watches were at my front door or hiding in my bushes.

I live in a good neighborhood, with no porch pirates. The watches clearly had NOT been delivered. Tried to call UPS, but their robot is of little help. Finally, I checked next door. My neighbors only come up a few times a year to vacation here; they certainly weren’t here now. I opened their storm door, and behold! Two long boxes from Apple.

My heart is restored to my chest. Gotta wonder how the UPS driver could deliver three packages with the same address label to two different places, but all’s well that ends well.

Anyone finding the battery to be draining fairly fast on their new Series 7 45mm?
Not so far. I was actually thinking it‘s nice to have a new watch where the battery doesn’t run down so fast. But, I’m coming from a heavily used S4, so this new watch’s battery feels great to me right now.

🤣🤣OMG!!!!! Decided to check the Veteran’s store one more time before giving up and OMG!!!! I was able to place an order for pickup tomorrow. 🤩 I wanted the silver SS Milanese band—not available, but then tried for the graphite… and lo and behold—in stock🤣. Still not a problem though since I have a selection of SS bands from my SS4.

Oh man, I’m really in trouble now because I won’t be able to resist looking at, and maybe getting, the leather loop bands. Just cancelled my original 11/2-9 order with confirmation. YAY

Hmm.. mine has been off the charger for around 6hr 15mins now, and has dropped from 100% to 62%. No heavy usage, literally just glancing at the time and checking the occasional notification. No workouts or music playback.

That drain seems like a bit much no? Puts it at about 16.5 hours of wearing time before dying. I thought 1.5 days was typical?
