Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

I was just on the Apple site and noticed that most of the watches have already slipped into early December. I am rather surprised by that this quickly. Demand for the larger screen is strong.
It’s either the demand or Apple is way behind production and they are not able to produce it that fast. I believe I also reported it yesterday and people are getting December delivery now.

Hey @beach bum any luck with the store. You may have to stop by at the store and check it there by physically going in there
I may try to go mid-week. I’m supposed to be working on my 25 page presentation due tomorrow, but can’t concentrate 🤣🤣🤣 To busy on the forum and stalking the local Apple stores.

Oooohhhh! I saw the Front page article re: Monday’s event, and there might be a slim/HUGE possibility of an updated Mac Mini release🤩🤞😁!!!! If so, I might just trade in both my Intel fully spec’d MM AND the M1 MBA. Ok, never mind, just the MM….🤔. Praying that if released, the new MM supports 2-3 monitors🙏

Dang! 25 page presentation? Good luck to you. I’m sure you will do well. I remember my years in grad school it was intense. Not easy. But I was so determined and motivated.

Monday is going to be a big day. I have a feeling Apple willl announce the Mac Mini. Don’t be surprised if they offer it in more than one colors. Not too much of a wait to go either. I’m glad it’s on Monday. It’s a good day. Basically watch the event and process all the information over the week haha!

It’s ridiculous that a technology company doesn’t have an “in stock” filter on their online store and app. Even Lowes and Home Depot have this
It’s likely on purpose. Forces the customer to engage either in store or constantly check the app/website. More engagement likely funnels to more sales of the intended product and also some add-ons. More data for apple too. Apple…doing it their way 🤣😂😂

This times a trillion!

was just looking at the store app 10 minutes ago and every god damn combination not available for pick up at my local store.

was thinking ‘ok just tell me what is available’ lmao

Same! I really can’t believe that Apple doesn’t have that as an option. It’s too frustrating to have to continually backtrack/refresh just to see if they have available stock. I’m almost tempted to quit while I’m ahead and wait for my 11/2-9 delivery.

Although that might be a good idea if Apple releases an upgraded MM on Monday. Maybe then I won’t have a heart attach when my cc bill comes in. 🤣🤣

Not sure if you guys are interested but there’s a site called popovleather.com that does handmade leather watch bands for the Apple Watch. Located in BC (Canada). After my go to company for the sickest leather bands (e3) went out of business I was looking for similar quality straps. Seems like this place has them. Picked up a couple leather bands for $150 cad which is what I would have spent on like one apple leather loop or solo braided loop lol

also have a red handmade leather band coming from a company called o2 that makes the bands in Europe but is located in the US.

The leather on these bands are thick as hell and heavy buckle/clasps. Combined with the SS Watch it’s like having a luxurious brick on your wrist lol

Yeah when I looked at Best Buy yesterday I was a able to choose my local store, then see what watches were in stock to pick up within the hour. Apple never does that does suck for sure
Im not sure what happened this year. But it looks like Apple’s own system was not reliable this year at all. Now some people are reporting it’s delayed until December. Which is insane.

yeah I got the heritage brown with red stitching and black hardware and natural brown with cream stitching and black hardware.

10% off for first time customers as well (with a promo code they email you)

Well from our initial scans for the 10/26 plus group last evening it has died down. Still at the waiting in clearance agency for my watch, have not seen the release by the clearance agency part yet and final double scan when our devices sit in pallets until they get loaded on planes (which took almost 4 days at that point even with the 13 ProMax phones we got recently) Scans sorta stalled at the last point, but looking at Apple I see they caught up and now its listed as Shipped. The app on my iPad says arrives the usual date 10/26-10/28 (conservative form the 10/22 on UPS estimate) whereas on my iPhone apple app it says arrives on 10/26 period no date range. Given the expected slowdown/sitting scans for weekend I would not be surprised that Apples most positive conservative estimate of 10/26 could even end up more correct than UPS. In normal years UPS was pretty good on delivery date but this year the devices sit long time in the scans sometimes going release by customs and then sit or in this case in hands of customs but waiting clearance (which could jus be scan delays in UPS servers we often see and then they really populate by time they arrive in US ect)

It is also weird on the scans that most occurred around 11 to 11:30 am China time (now 12 hours ago China time where its now 11:30 PM and I doubt there are 24 hours of shifts working otherwise things would move faster seems to occur during daytime hours thru afternoon)

And then there is the last scan I got last night below:

The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.
10/16/2021 12:45 AM

If the label, departure were all 11 to 11:30 AM how did the scan with clearing agency occur 10 hours earlier at essentially almost 1 AM on 16th? Again maybe the scans are just not catching up on the weekend UPS servers connections to China or such.

Anyone see scans past this that I have like the release by the Chinese customs (clearing agency) ect????

Yes totally nuts I think apple is having the same problems with supplies (chip’s especially and other parts with rolling power blackouts in China) that other companies are handling. Which then messes up when the items are built and then into the Chinese shipping system before UPS gets hands on (seemingly in Korea and such). I think that the shortage, delays and pileups of shipping containers in China and also on our coasts which lead to some customers using air shipments has led to a shortage of planes for apple devices that UPS uses to get out of China. I have not seen a single UPS plane at the airports our devices come from seems to be Chinese shipping planes (UPS pays for obviously) to the UPS planes in Korea leg of journey many see.

I believe we have passed the clearance. Your going to see a lot of activity over the week. Hopefully we see an update today or tomorrow. It’s almost home. Hang tight :)

A lot of people reported they were stuck in China too. So not sure what’s going on over there.

Yes very likely the scans for some apple devices seem to populate later in transit all the way to Louisville in some cases. The phones this year populated with all the info, including release and then to arrival scans preparing to depart to destination before sitting for 4 days. I suspect UPS date is reasonable, since my watch is expedited rather than express like you got that may explain why mine is a day later than yours.
