Do you plan on ordering the new Apple Watch Series 7 (2021) this September?

I hope so too. I have a feeling they will. The AW page will be updated throughout this week so people can decide what model, color they want.
You'd think right.. its very odd we still don't know what the combos are. Of Course you can use Apple Watch Studio to create your own combos but they've not updated it for Series 7 yet and far as I can remember you can't use it during a pre order?

Hopefully the combos will be added soon, I was thinking getting the Graphite with the Abyss Blue strap but I hope they will have them up soon so I can make my decison

Looks like, similar to the iPhone 13 style deals, there will be some special extra money available by purchasing direct from Apple and activating with select carriers.

I can’t understand the attraction to the Hermes at such a higher cost. What draws you to it over the other options with the same internals for a much lower price? Unlike a mechanical watch that can be passed down along generations, this thing will be obsolete in 10 years or less guaranteed.

I just checked my Series 4 and it’s at 79% and giving me a warning that the battery is “significantly reduced”. Ironically it’s also $79 to get the battery replaced so maybe someone has a sense of humor.

As for me, I’m just going to get a new watch! :)

That's hilarious! Can't wait until Friday!

I have a quick question: I want to trade in my S5 for S7 this time. There shouldn’t be a decrease of trade in value when I choose to trade in Friday morning, right? I’m asking because right now S6 is not available for trade in, and I’m just worried that something is gonna change Friday morning.

You shouldn't have any need to worry on Friday. The price should be the same.

I can't give you a better answer than "it's what I want and I'm willing to pay for it". This will be my first Hermes AW, but I have other mechanical watches that cost far more than the Hermes AW will. I love the exclusive faces, and I can't bring myself to put a Hermes band on a non Hermes watch. I just like nice things. I wear luxury purses as well...I'll drop $1500 on a bag without a second thought, but won't pay more than $20 for a pair of jeans. I couldn't care less about designer clothes. I'm totally cheap in a lot of ways. I don't drink, smoke, or travel much, our kids are grown, so it's just what I choose to spend my money on I guess.

S5 prices dropped by roughly $30 after the S7 announcement on Apple.com. I initiated a trade-in two days before the announcement. I doubt it would drop again so soon.

I suggest you trade-in at an Apple store if possible. My trade-in experience has scared me away from it for good. They dropped my price from $170 to $0 after evaluation. It was sent to some Logistics company out in Texas. I suspect the issue was due to the fact that I updated it to 8.0 and their method of evaluating actually involves attempting to setup the watch to a phone. I believe I read that IOS 15 is a requirement. The updated had only been a few days when they received it. The worst part is that Fedex has lost my package after I initiated a return to me. Got Apple involved and they are performing an investigation.
