Will Verizon be doing preorders on Friday? Does anyone know? I couldn’t find any info on their site…
I would guess, yes, they will but everyone (including Apple somehow) seems to have been caught flat footed by this press release. You can’t even see proper pricing on Apple’s own site and they haven’t even put out proper tech specs yet. It’s a head scratcher to be honest.

Also, note that there is a $100 rebate if you buy a Verizon watch direct from Apple. You may want to weigh that against whatever offer Verizon makes on their own.

Thanks for the info. Yes, that does seem tempting but I like making payments through Verizon as opposed to paying up front or through the Apple Card…just a preference.

Hopefully, the Studio will be available tomorrow so we can spec our watches out.

I know I want the stainless steel, and I know which colour of that I want, but I don't know if I should go with the Clover or Abyss Blue sport band?
Which stainless steel?

Silver: Either but the Abyss Blue probably would look better. The Sierra Blue phone has a silverish tint to it and I think the Abyss Blue case looks great on it.

Gold: Abyss Blue. The darkness of the blue will make the gold pop more than Clover.

Graphite: Clover. The darkness of the graphite case will be a great contrast with the Clover. This will showcase the graphite finish better.

Just my opinion, but hopefully this helps. :)

Now that I look at it again… I think the Silver and Graphite definitely Abyss Blue and the Gold with the Clover. Final answer. ?

LOS ANGELES BABY!!
I can’t understand the attraction to the Hermes at such a higher cost. What draws you to it over the other options with the same internals for a much lower price? Unlike a mechanical watch that can be passed down along generations, this thing will be obsolete in 10 years or less guaranteed.
It’s really the Hermes leather bands and the exclusive faces that draw me towards this model, personal preference. I would rather wear this model if I am going to forgo wearing my Rolex. I look at watches as jewelry and I would never even consider any Apple Watch as an investment. I do however consider the Hermes Bands to be an investment, as I have sold some for a considerable amount more than I paid because they were discontinued. The Hermes models also come with a 2 year warranty versus a year warranty on other models.

Shock of all shocks, I am trading in a AW3 SS that I have not used in several years, actually had given to my Son but he decided he did not like it so has not used. I charged it up today and decided to add it to my phone as a second watch since I plan to trade it for the AW7 SS and keep my AW5, my shock is the AW3 battery health is at 93% 😱 I used this watch for close to 2 years before I got the 5. I had no idea that the battery health was that good. I also realized that when adding it to my phone that I could have actually added another family member who does not have an iPhone. Never saw that before. My husband does not have a phone nor wants one but has shown interest in wanting an AW. Does anyone else have an AW that is not connected to a phone. I am wondering how that even works.

I’m super torn on the size! I’m excited to get the series 7 though!
Had a 42 ceramic series 2 and loved it. Seemed to be a great size! I now have the 40 s5 (SS) and I love it too but with the new keyboard coming I’m debating going up in size. I just don’t know if 45 is gonna be too big!!! Ugh.

I would go up the size. It will be a nice change for you.

I agree. Same SS Series 4 and the change in form factor is a plus, but without anything else I’m hesitant. If temperature check alone is pushed back a year that means other medical apps are too. Not that I’m itching for temp., blood pressure, hydration or blood glucose, but their inclusion (one or more) would be an additional push over the edge to say “order this one” as opposed to waiting for a Series 8 or later (which according to some reports will have some or more of these features).
If they did blood glucose I wonder if that could be covered a bit by insurance for diabetics?

I got you.

Thanks, it appears the AW3 I was setting up would not have worked for an additional family member which is good to know, it needs to be a 4 or newer. I am planning to trade this for my 7 but may get husband a new AW for Christmas ;)

Yeah it might just be. Plus I’d have to order all new bands… ugh.
From the Apple website:

"You can match most bands with any Apple Watch Series 3 or newer case of the same size. The 41mm bands work with 38mm and 40mm cases; the 45mm bands work with 42mm and 44mm cases.
The Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop bands are only compatible with Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 4 or newer. The 40mm and 41mm cases work with band sizes 1–9; the 44mm and 45mm cases works with band sizes 4–12."

Yay! Who’s ready to order the new Apple Watch this Friday???
I’m super pumped to get my first Apple Watch.

Was a little bummed out this year to be left out of the preorder fun for the iPhone but now I’m ready to jump on the preorder train. Gonna have to set my alarm early Friday so Hopefully I can get one of the initial units so I don’t have to wait for Nov/Dec delivery🤞

I’m hoping Apple lets us add them to our cart earlier this week and that there aren’t any issues preordering with the Apple Card this time.
