Looks great! Like you I ordered one for in-store pickup today. I got the SS (silver) and a Abyss Blue braided solo loop band. These are my favorite Apple bands by far. Have them in Inverness Green, Dark Cherry and soon Abyss Blue. They are just so comfortable for me.

If anyone is thinking about buying the AW7 I would seriously consider seeing if it is available at a local store rather than waiting for shipping (which for me would have been Dec 6-13). I live in NYC with a lot of Apple stores around and checking the Apple store app I see stock coming in regularly (but they sell out quickly).
When I went to exchange sizes, I got the abyss blue braided band. Now I’m thinking of getting a silicone solo loop soon. I’ve always worn Sport Loops because I like how it is easy to adjust. Anyway I agree about trying to grab one in an Apple Store.

I cancelled the SBTi that ordered and instead got myself the Graphite instead. Apple store had the Graphite available for in-store pick up. This one is perfect. No rough edges, very smooth Corners and edges.
Is there a reason other than wait times you got the graphite instead of the SBTi? I have an SBTi on order, simply because I hate scratches and wanna take advantage of the DLC coating

I have the SBTi Watch 6 so I'm still good on that. I've had SS before and I have yet to scratch one. Meaning I never had any scratches on my SS since I've owned it before owning SBTi. So I'm not worried.

Ordered 11/9, ETA 12/20. S7 GPS aluminum midnight. unfortunately, a christmas present, i guess. :(
FYI — I ordered on 10/25 and was given a December 15 ship date by Verizon (my wireless carrier) — and today I received a FedEx TRACKING # email, and the arrival date is this Tuesday, November 16! So, my watch will be arriving a full month earlier than promised at purchase.

I had waited on the purchase because I wasn’t sure I wanted to upgrade. But after a $200 discount from Verizon in exchange for my OLD Series 2 SS 44mm, I thought, why not! I wouldn’t be able to get that much for the S2 Watch ever again (Apple offered $65 trade in value). LOL. 😀

I’m currently wearing my Series 4 SS Watch 44mm, Gold. Which has been a great watch, but the battery life has really begun to dwindle.

Not to mention, I needed to switch back to a silver SS color. The Gold, while pretty, just does not agree with so many things (and it is nearly impossible to find 3rd party or even Apple bands with accurately matching hardware—and ‘close’ isn’t to my liking). I normally prefer neutral—silver, grey, or white metals—and I bought the Gold on a whim. I did like it overall, but I soon realized I would have been happier with the SS in silver/chrome tone.

Next, I’ll sell the series 4 for another $150-195 and be done with my old watches. The S2 is so slow. I haven’t even tried to use my S1 watch in ages. It’s too old for anything but recycling. Which is sad, as it is in perfect shape.

Here you go!! Love this color with the SS. 😍😍
Is that grey or lavender? Looks really nice! Also—I haven’t bought any of the braided bands yet, as I thought they might show grunge, among other things.
What issues did you find with the braided bands? I’ve been wear a Solo loop in the elastomer and I love the simplicity of wear and maintenance.

AppleInsider has posted a great article about how to save battery life. This will come in very handy for all the people who owns Apple Watch :)

Happy adjusting 🤩

For those that have owned SS and/or Titanium watches in the past, how is the resale value typically when it came time to sell the watch? I’m debating between an AL S7 (with a screen protector) or a SS/SBTi S7, and am wondering how resale values are impacted for each model.

I can’t speak for the resale value of Ti but for SS I received less than about 50% of the original value when I sold my SS Apple Watch S4-S6. For point of reference, I recently sold my 44mm S6 SS Graphite with black sport band on eBay for $493.

My local Apple Store finally got a 45mm Midnight/Midnight in stock so I picked one up today, more than two weeks ahead of my projected arrival date of Nov 30. The difference between the S6 40mm case and the S7 45mm case is hugh. Enjoying the extra screen size.

The short answer is that the resale value of steel and titanium is awful. If you get 50% back a year later, you’ll be doing really well. Don’t try to think of it the same as iPhones. Most buyers of used apple watches want a deal and are looking to spend less. Sapphire is not something that this type of person is usually looking to find, and they seldom care or know about the material differences between the models. This person is likely to think only about functionality. Of course, there are exceptions, but I’ve almost universally seen this to be the case.

If you’re worried about resale and wanting to frequently upgrade, stick with aluminum.

A wonderful article from Appleinsider has been posted. A complete hands-on with the luxury Apple Watch Series 7. It is worth reading and checking out :)

Finally received my o2 custom made leather band after like a month lol. Shipped from Turkey. Quality is aight I guess. I ordered a small but looks like their idea of a small is 70lb woman small lol. Hardware is pretty light so quality is so-so. Leather quality is fine. I paid like 83 cad for this and for that price it’s ok at best. Definitely appreciate my c3 supply co and Popov leather bands a lot more now.

First pic is with my s6 gold SS. 2nd pic is with my s7 graphite SS. Obviously the band goes way better with my s6 gold lol

Sorry, just now seeing this. It's the Lavender band. The issues I am having with the braided bands is that they hold an aluminum case better. I got the braided bands when I still had an aluminum AW. I love the solo loop elastomer, as well

No worries! I sometimes don’t see posts for a few days. The lavender looks great. What is the issue with the braided bands and SS? Do you think the heavier watch is a little too much for the braid? I have yet to try any braided band, mostly because they seem like they’ll need more care than elastomer or leather or metal.
