Apple Watch Stands... pics and links inside

Thanks! I also cancelled and reordered my two stands. Now I'm $6 richer. I'm very pleased with the $16.99 shipped price tag.

Here are a few photos of my Griffin WatchStand:

Unfortunately I still haven't gotten my Apple Watch in so I haven't gotten the chance to fully test it out. The stand itself is well made and had a nice weight to it in order to keep it in place.

I also did a quick unboxing video of it if anyone is curious:

Thank you for the answer! Would the inclusion of a charging disc, leaving yours free to be kept elsewhere (office, bag, etc.) convince you to spend between $75-$80?

I would buy one for $75. However, I have a sport and it came with a plastic charger. I assume the metal charger would be used since it's the only extra type for sale? Is that bad for a sport or did it come with plastic to differentiate between the sport and SS versions?

It was between these 3. But just ordered the Spiegen, mainly because of the price. Probably will get the HiRise eventually, to match the HiRise for my 6+. But the Nomad looks great too. Just didn't want to spend a lot now. And because there will be more coming...

...and it's been an expensive couple of weeks: Watch ($599), extra Sport Band ($49), extra cable ($29), AppleCare ($69). And the Click adapter I backed on Kickstarter ($40).

Sometimes you just have to draw the line somewhere. #

I have been hunting around for a good dock for my Apple Watch and have noticed that many of the designs require the Apple Watch to be suspended by the magnet charger.

This basically means the charger needs to be able to hold the weight of the Apple Watch. I am not sure about your charger, but I have noticed that the watch is generally too heavy to hold it's own weight.

If I try to lift my watch (42mm Stainless Steel with Sport Band) off the table using the charger only it tends to fall off. This would make the use of many of the docks a bit difficult.

I know many of the docks rest at an angle which would alleviate the problem, but docks like the Fuze Dock http://fuzdesigns.com/products/fuz-dock-for-apple-watch might have problems.

I like the Fuze Dock, but am not sure if it would work. I have emailed Fuze for comments and will post back what they say here.

Thoughts?

Premium One W2 looks nice but way overpriced.

I'm considering the Orzly. Not a fan of how the watch sits but can't beat the price. Just don't know if it works w/ an iPhone in case. That could be a non-starter too.

Anyone else have some sub $30 solutions for iPhone and AW -- must serve both because the point is to reduce clutter.

Thanks! We really did put a lot of thought into the overall look and aesthetics of Unify Dock. What price point would you put us in? (Understanding that shipping cost has a huge impact)

To be honest, for a one-off purchase like this I would be willing to spend (ideally) $75-90 USD (£50-60 GBP) but was even about to pledge $119 USD (£80 GBP) to your kickstarter for one until I found out about that HUGE shipping charge. If there was a $0-10 USD shipping fee I would have already pledged to you but I simply cannot justify an additional $80 for a of total $200 USD (£130 GBP) for the purchase of a phone/watch stand- as nice as it may be.

I would say the absolute most I was willing to spend (shipping costs included) on a stand/dock would be $120 USD (£80 GBP). And even then I would have to close my eyes as I clicked "buy" ;)

REALLY liking this one. The wife would love it for her watch and iPhone.

I'm in for one "NightStand"!!!! But which color? Silver or Space Grey?! Lol

--- > NOW HAS INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!!!!

Thanks for the heads up!! Just pledged!

All in (dock and shipping) for $94 USD (about £60 GBP) isn't bad at all for a dock of that quality and design, plus it is shipping in July :D

I just hope they can raise enough funds, they seem quite far away from their goal right now.

As far as we know the plastic and metal charging discs function the same. The most likely scenario is that Apple produced one version in plastic at a cheaper cost to increase their margins on the sport models.

Thank you for the feedback. We were also surprised at the shipping estimates and have checked with multiple services and everything appears to be about the same. Right now it looks like the only way to bring down our shipping is going to be with shipments of large quantities to fulfillment centers. Unfortunately at Kickstarter volumes we're not there yet. If you want to stay up to date for when we move to production with lower shipping costs you can sign up on our website (not sure if I'm allowed to provide a link so I'll refrain).

I understand your predicament and appreciate that, thanks to economies of scale, the costs will come down with larger quantities so do not blame you.

Don't worry, I will be keeping an eye on your product and if it comes within my price range I will be ready with my debit card ;)

Do ALL of the dual iPhone/Apple Watch stands require your own Lightning cable for the iPhone? I don't think a standard Lightning cable would reach from my bedside table to my wall socket.

Buy a longer lightening cable, or rearrange your bedroom.

I can't speak for the other docks, but ours comes with both the charging disc and a lightning connector and charges with a single cord. The cord from dock to plug will be 2'-3' long, we haven't finalized that yet. Basically you can take the dock out of the box, plug it in, and you're good to go.

Great. Which one is yours?

Unify Dock, you can find us on Kickstarter and there is a link a few posts back.

That's looks awesome. So it has integrated lightning and watch charger cables, and only requires 1 plug socket?

Will there be a UK version?
