That's looks awesome. So it has integrated lightning and watch charger cables, and only requires 1 plug socket?

Will there be a UK version?

Yes, everything included and installed with a single socket required. It charges via USB, so if you have a UK version wall charger you can just plug in to that.

A router and/or the right tips for my dremel would would have done me wonders. The bottom looks messy.

yeah, finding more and more good uses for my small DeWalt router. Comes in handy if you have the right bits.

That's the nicest looking charge "stand" yet. Simple is always best. The only suggestion I would have is to have the cable exiting the base from the back instead of the side.

Made a little modification to the watch case. Drilled a small hole for the USB to pass through and filled with white SURGU (a putty that drys as a rubber) that holds the charging attachment in place. Some feet on the bottom so that the case doesn't sit on the cable and I have a charge box that allows the lid to go back on for protection. Took 5 mins and cost minimal amount for some SURGU.

This! All of this!
This is what I want to do to my case! Do you mind posting more pictures with detail of the hole you drilled and the bottom of the case?

Yeah no problem its not quite finished as the surgu is still drying so I'll photo it tomorrow. I want to smooth it out (so it looks neater on the base) the base won't be seen but still want to. I used a flat drill bit pretty much the same size as the usb and rounded it out a little. Will check the bit mm I used and smooth out and photo the bottom tomorrow as I'm just turning in for the night.

Thanks for the compliment.

As for the cable, I thought a lot about this detail. The side is in fact the back if that makes sense. When the stand is in place, it faces the bed and not straight out as it appears in the picture. The way it is routed now is not seen when on the nightstand. I came up with this after making a trial version on the first run.

I've not painted it yet need to find something that won't look out of place. Also need to smooth out the SURGU which has dried now.
SURGU is available on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Sugru-SBW8-Se...F8&qid=1430806845&sr=8-1&keywords=sugru+white
although this price seems allot you will find it cheaper if you shop around. (certainly in the UK)
The little feet were just the sticky backed foam things you can get from somewhere like Staples (I'm in the UK but am sure they are big in the USA - not sure where your based)
It was a 12mm flat drill bit I used for the hole that made it just big enough for the USB. like the ones in this link:
http://www.amazon.com/Piece-Flat-Wo...430806696&sr=8-12&keywords=12mm+flat+wood+bit
But the amazon ones are expensive if your only using it for this.

Like you say though if your willing to cut and solder the cable you could use a bit of white heat sleeve to cover the join. just measure before cutting to make sure it all seats well.

Photos below. Like I say still some painting and smoothing to do. Im not great at this type of thing but its a very simple modification so can't imagine any one else having any issue.

That looks really nice. From what you said in the other thread, I actually do have access to a 3D printer but it's not going to be nice looking. It's not fine enough

Received my Spigen stand today - pretty good for a £15 stand.

If anyone had any worries about the magnet not being strong enough, fret not - seems to work perfectly.

It's not much effort just to tuck the band behind and looks better than it hanging out in front in my opinion. Attached a photo of both.

This is something I built until my Spigen stand arrives. I like it so much I might keep it. My son has a bin with over 2000 legos so I am sure he wont miss these 50 or so pieces. The Mini figures are the perfect size to hold the chord. I also have some other lego hooks for chord management. I went with the Star Wars theme. I usually tuck the watch band underneath so it looks more uniform. I plan on re-doing it at some point and using some Crazy glue so it doesnt come apart.
