Sure.
Because reviewing for 10 years now is all about fun. If you don't have fun in the process what's the point? Or... Are you being sarcastic?

Who doesn't like to spend a bit of time putting models and Lego projects together without instructions? We don't have so many pieces of IKEA furniture around the house for no reason!

What are your thoughts on the possibility of scratching the Stainless Steel Watch and link bracelet?

The stand used to be completely metal which I why I held off on buying. Then I emailed them about the issue and they added a urethane coating as a barrier to completely resist scratching. Not just my stand, but all the stands moving forward as of a few weeks ago. I can tell you personally that when feeling it, the coating makes me 100% positive my watch won't scratch.

No issue with the watch sliding off? I was reading several Amazon reviews and this was mentioned as a problem, particularly with the stainless steel bands.

I've had no issue with it sliding off at all, I was surprised too.

What is that? I want them to take my money.

I just found these on Saturday. I really hope someone will be able to make them. They're exactly what I would buy!
The first stand was a failed kickstarter project called Night Stand: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/343524485/night-stand/posts/1236370

The second one was also kickstarter project called Unify Dock that didn't get funded: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1672591724/unify-dock-for-apple-watch-and-iphone

I like the Spigen S350 because it is so minimalist but think I will use it exclusively for travel after receiving my Poetic Loft today. I really like having both devices on one stand (vs. having my phone lying flat on the nightstand) and the viewing angle for both is great from my bed. I watched a couple YouTube videos tonight on the phone and the angle was perfect. Hard to beat the value/quality of $15 shipped via Amazon Prime for this one.

How has your stainless steel watch been when you position it horizontally? There are many reviews saying that it doesn't work well horizontally, especially with the stainless steel versions.

I read the same reviews and was a bit hesitant because of them. Check post #1033. I didn't ask about horizontal though, so you may want to. Mine is actually a space gray sport and it is fine in "portrait" or "landscape". You do have to take a second to ensure it is lined up correctly since the TPU material is so thick making the charging puck sit back a bit, but not really an issue for me.

^^ At .50 cents why worry about the reviews? If it was still on Amazon Id buy one no question, if the quality sucked oh well, it was 50 cents lol

Just received my Orzly Dock/Stand. http://www.amazon.com/Orzly®-Night-...F8&qid=1439480385&sr=8-2&keywords=orzly+stand

The package was ripped open, and resealed in a Canada Post "Sorry your item is damaged" bag . Luckily, nothing was damaged on the inside, just the postage bag.

The Dock is a fusion of the Evolution nightstand, and Spigen S350. IMO IT IS PERFECT!

It has the ledge for using nightstand mode, a weighted base so it doesn't pick up with the watch, and it has a farther reaching back than the evolution which allows for steel bands to sit perfectly on it.

The only possible downside is that the 'tape' that comes on the bottom isn't micro suction, but a double sided tape, which I assume cannot be used again. However, the material is a soft supple TPU, which doesn't seem to slide on surfaces, so I might just strip it off since the base is weighted enough that there shouldn't be any slipping problems. If this doesn't suffice I could just buy a small strip of micro suction tape.

Here are some pics:

Thanks for the review. So when you say tape on the bottom are you saying that there's double sided sticky tape to help it from sliding around?
Yes. Though turning the dock on its side and trying to slide it on my desk resulted in great friction, so I might just remove the tape altogether.

As I mentioned above, the stand has weight to it so it doesn't lift when removing the watch, so if the TPU doesn't slide, the tape really isn't needed, though I would have preferred reusable micro suction tape like that on the fuz or spigen stand.

Which seems to do a better job overall, the spigen or Orzly. I'm trying to decide between those two :)
I would say go for Orzly. Mainly because as pigeons doesn't have that lip to hold the watch in place on Nightstand mode and also because well, cables. The cables magnet I image overtime gets weaker? Maybe it's just me but I'd rather not inflict much pressure on to the watch if I can help it.

Actually, now that I see them both, I see the Spigen is practically the same as the Orzly. I was thinking the old Spigen dock.
Whichever you'd think fit your needs most I guess would be the best answer to which one should you get if you're undecided.

My problem lies here in the back.
Cable management. Although the Orzly is $3 cheaper than Spigens, my question remains. Do you have to force bent the cable where the main Schaefer begins? Like I mean; you know how the 30 pin and lightening cables tend to break if bent for too long and so on.

this on the spigen would make it more suitable of the back of the cable has no inflicted stress to it.
Can someone with one of the Spigen docks elaborate further on this regard?

Yes indeed, I'm doing my happy dance today. The USPS made the exact opposite mistake today that UPS made last week. Even though my Premium One W3 stand required a signature, and my Deliveries app indicated that only a notification was left, the postman left the stand.

Plain box. Heavy! The whole thing was actually much smaller than I had somehow envisioned. Maybe because the concept is so BIG. :) Upon opening the box, you see the usb hub and plug, the top of the stand, and the tool to use to raise the lightning plugs if you're using cases on your iPhone or iPad.

IMG_1862.JPG IMG_1863.JPG

I carefully removed everything from the box and laid it all out. There is a double cord on the W3 so that there is only one cable with two usb plugs. You have to use your own Watch puck.

IMG_1864.JPG

I started by putting my iPad Air 2 on the stand. It's heavy enough that it holds well even with only the iPad on. I quickly started adding everything else.

The angle of the watch mount allows the watch to hand without depending completely on the magnet. Of course, you can put your watch on sideways (in preparation for Watchos 2 with nightstand mode), and it holds fine. This may be a bigger challenge with a heavier band. But the magnet in the puck is fairly strong, so YMMV.

IMG_1866.JPG IMG_20150813_135910.jpg IMG_20150813_135948.jpg

It's really a beautiful piece, and I'm still glad I backed it on Kickstarter and didn't go for any of the other offerings available. It's a bit pricey, but it's a work of art, and keeps everything in a small space.

They both do the same job in the end.

The Spigen doesn't try to hide the cable, it jets out of the side, whereas the Orzly has cable management that sends it out the rear, so looking head on you don't see the cable.

On the flip side, the Spigen has micro suction, and is lighter, and has a smaller overall footprint, so it may be better for travel.

Also the Orzly is the only one of the 3 that actually holds a stainless steel band properly, because it has the long back. The Spigen will work, but the band touches the table behind it.

They both have positives and negatives imo.

In the end I'll be using both, I'll have to decide which is better for travel, and which will stay on my bedside table.

The FUZ stand already won my computer desk spot. :)

The Trio:

And Jmona, yes it does bend slightly, but I don't think that has been the issue with frayed cords, I think it's constant bending/yanking that causes that.
