I don't think so. Apple has not been offering top dollar for trade-ins. You are always better off going with an online buyer or selling privately.

yea, I know, part of the reason I have a S4 SBSS, a S7 Ti and the Ultra, trade-in values were bad so I decided to keep them when I got the Ultra. Thing is, trade-in with apple is simple, selling it to 3rd party is a hassle, YMMV
This current colorway is literally the only thing keeping me from purchasing the Ultra. Release it in Black, or Space Black, and its day 1, eyes closed, dont care about the price, just take my money.
Ok cool but we need health features. Based on the rumors they'll change the processor and colors of Series 9 and Ultra and call it a day.
Awesome. Now make it thinner, too, and I will actually consider upgrading from my current Ultra. 😲
Agree that Apple needs to step it up for some new health sensor, blood pressure has been around for a while but if Apple can’t get the accuracy done right, they won’t release it.
Glucose is a few years out still
My Series 4 Apple Watch (with the battery replaced) in Space Black Stainless Steel w DLC coating (now currently only available on the $1400 Hermes Edition) is the toughest exterior I have seen and I have not seen it scratch or nick. Unless the AWU comes in DLC Space Black, I would not get excited about it.
That would include a case redesign and I don’t see that happening for this year…

Yea, but battery life has been 18hrs since S0, never changed. So I’m skeptical they will increase it for the Ultra.
My thinking was new cpu + thinner watch = smaller battery with the same battery life. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Your watch would sell instantly for that price (I know I'd buy it). It might be worth the hassle of posting it for sale somewhere.
I just priced it for $430 on the website I formerly mentioned. That includes OEM band, charger and box.
However, without those extras, I am sure you can get $350 (actually about $405)
Of course, the closer we get to the release of the next AWU, the price will decrease.

Careful what you are wishing for. If Apple makes the Apple Watch Ultra Thinner we may not be blessed with the same amount of battery life we are getting. I can easily go without charging my Apple Watch Ultra for 3+ days (Not including Low Power Mode). I think Apple Watch Ultra looks more rugged and more durable thicker.

The Apple Watch Ultra's silly giant orange button matches the Dial of the Watch. I do agree with you tho. The orange color needs to be updated or changed. Maybe in Product Red?
The latest render rumor is that they are saving the Midnight color for the upcomming Apple Watch Studio:
I don’t think we are getting new health features this year but blood pressure measurement might come next year. Also, we are still years away for blood glucose level measurement.

Midnight would look awful on the Ultra and would be a definite no-buy for me
