Ordered mine this morning, Sep 23 delivery with the yellow ocean band, checked late afternoon and that combo still says Sep 23.
So watches aplenty, bands are the bottleneck.
I did pick that color first, didn’t want anou other band

Went with black/gray trail loop. Unfortunately that put me out to late October but will be worth the wait. I'm coming from a Series 5 44mm so this should feel like a nice change. Was set on Series 8 45mm cellular, but it just didn't feel different enough to justify the difference. I live in the mountains of East Tennessee and do lots of outdoor stuff so the Ultra was exactly what I was hoping for.

I also ordered one with the black/grey trail loop. Estimated delivery is 10/24 - 11/03. It's obvious that there is some kind of issue with the trail loop in general. Is there a chance that they may sort it out and shop earlier or is that rather unlikely and has never happened before? I'll also be ordering an iPhone 14 Pro Max in 5.5 hours, so it would be kind of weird to wait a whole month for the new watch to arrive :-/

Just placed my preorder with AT&T with blue/grey trail loop and estimated delivery is Nov 18-28 which it didnt show estimates till order was placed.

Just ordered the midnight ocean band setup via AT&T. Took a coupe of tries, but I was able to finally get through. Expected ship is 9/23-10/7.

Just canceled my first order and placed another one with Green Alpine Loop Estimated Delivery is Sept 23-Oct 7

Hopefully it goes through...

Good luck everyone with your orders.. I'm watching from the sideline over here but interested in this ultra lol

Question - what will you use your watch for?? Do you actually need it for the activities, or just want it because it's new?? lol

I have been wondering about upgrading my 44 mm S4 for a while, and hesitated quite a bit to order this Ultra, not because of the price or the design, but because of its size. My wrist is around 180 mm and I'm worried it will look too big on it.

I'm not a professional athlete by any mean, but I do several activities where the watch can potentially take a hit: bouldering, football (soccer), downhill skiing, on top of the good old regular gym. So I could see a more tanky watch being useful. Also curious to see if the action button will allow me to record stuff such as my goals scored, climbing courses completed (for bouldering), etc.

After 24 hours of reflexion I finally pulled the plug and ordered it with the white ocean band, delivery expected for the 23rd of Sept. I figured that if I find it too big for me, I'll just return it.
Also, not a fan of the offered bands, but it's not really an issue thanks to the retro compatibility and the millions of options available from third parties.

Did anyone actually get a trail loop for launch day? It doesn’t seem like it.

Ordered a Green Alpine Loop with a Sept 23 date a few days ago. Having second thoughts - I want to see some daily wearing reviews and my AW 5 will be fine for a couple more months. I also really want the trail loop. So I'll probably cancel and get the trail loop with the Nov. date.

Exactly what I use my current watches for, tracking bouldering sessions, weights, hikes when travelling, taking on Safari and general travelling (spend a lot of time in places like Kenya and national parks in various countries). Oh and telling the time…

For me it’s as much about the new shape and anything else. I love it and I’m bored of the old one. My current watches do all of the above but I’m always slightly mindful of wrecking them (Ceramic, Graphite & silver Hermes).

But even if I just sat at a desk all day, who cares. It’s as much about the aesthetics as what functionality it has for some people. Nobody is right or wrong for liking it or not.

I ordered Ultra with the Starlight through my Verizon business account. I chose Starlight because it had the earliest shipping date (9/23/2022). All others shipped in late October or as far out as December. They gave me only $180 for a series 4 I was no longer using. Payments without the trade in is $22.22 for 36 months and with trade is $17.22 for 36 months. If I don’t like the Starlight I’ll just buy another band later. No way I am letting this drag on for 36 months. The cost of me paying off after a year or two wont be bank-breaking like a top-of-the-line smartphone.

I personally prefer larger face watches. I'm a fan of G-Shock and most of them are 50MM or better. I actually like the collision detection option as well. As far as the activities, I can't promise anything, but time will tho :D

Ordered through ATT, had to switch from the gray/blue trail loop to orange alpine loop. The trail loop had estimated ship dates of 11/28! Now it shows 9/23 as estimated ship date

‘I tried but they had none so I changed my order so I got my watch the quickest and ordered the Trail loop in the grey-Black and grey-blue arriving in November.
