I'm skeptical of the Verizon dates, but went ahead and changed my order to Verizon. I didn't realize that I was right at my 50% phone upgrade point. I was able to switch my phone and take advantage of the $120 off smart watch promotion. If I go by the dates they show... Now my watch arrives on the 23rd and the new 14 Pro Max shows up on the 30th!

Had an order through Apple Store for Orange Alpine Band Medium Ultra that would have delivered Sept 30 - Oct 7. Got BestBuy notice (USA) and they show I get Sept 23rd - ordered through them and cancelled the Apple Store order.

Anyone know about added bicycle or swim features for this model? I have series 7 and happy with it, however battery life is appealing for the Ultra…. Trying to discover a few more reasons to justify getting it at some future date soonish, or not… I read for example it can display water temp while swimming, that seems like a pretty cool addition if true.
I feel simlarly about my wrists however it’s all relative to who you compare to… I think mine are 190mm which seem not “small“ to me but def not “big“ … I’m also wondering about the size.. I’m a little to wary of the one size only measured bands so far. `
How much trade-in did you get offered? Asking due to having a 7, was offered $155, crummy but also I wonder if that will be down to like $75 if I wait to trade-in until next fall….
My watch 6 was worth $120. Pass. My son gets my old watch instead.

Oof. That’s nice of you, I’d go that route for sure if I had interested family members, instead I‘m thinking about ebay or craigslist perhaps… people on this site seem to like Swappa for phones, not sure if they do watches.
I ordered mine over the phone with Verizon rep. He didn't ask me which size band I needed and I didn't realize there are 3 sizes. Chit!!! I have no idea which size I'm getting. Hopefully tomorrow the order will appear online and I can see it. To be honest, I don't know which size I need. If the size I receive is not right for me, I will have to order the right side. I've learned from the past it's best not to go back and cancel/re-order with Verizon. Too many things can go wrong.
UPDATE: I checked the email receipt sent to me and the size I'm getting is medium. I hope that works.

I hope you're right. I debated ordering the watch till the day after the event. I have the late october date. I ordered the blue and gray trail loop band.
This is my first apple watch so I guess I can wait since I dont know what I am missing.
I just checked my order to confirm. $180 for a Series 6 Space Gray Aluminum 44mm.
I ordered from Verizon a few minutes after they started taking pre-orders. Been ordering my Apple gear through Verizon for years since I’ve had a better experience preordering through their app or website than I ever did with Apple.
Couple of reasons actually. We do have a very remote vacation property and the enhanced GPS would give me a lot more confidence exploring the backwoods where it is easy to become disoriented. Also they have a differnt back material and I have had occasional skin irritation reactions to the back of the Watch over the years. Plus I’m getting older and always go for a bigger display if I can get it. The longer battery life is a plus for me too.

Ordered mine from apple with the midnight ocean band. Will be here on 9/23. I really wanted the black trail band for daily use, but that was an October delivery date. My thought is get the watch here and I’ll just buy the trail band when they are available. I’ll still use the dive band for when I dive or swim. I usually end up with multiple bands anyway. I’m also curious to see what the aftermarket companies come up with for bands.

I'm eager for the aftermarket accessories. Right now I'm using a G-Shock style band/protective case on my S5 and I love it. I think once I'm using a 49mm watch, what's a couple more millimeters?
I also want to see if my 44mm S5 bands will fit the new Ultra. I've got a pile of them.

i wish the damn midnight ocean ultra band was black like their midnight cases. But i guess the ocean part means "add some blue". i went ahead and just got the green alpine, and will order the black leather umbro for work/outings.
