Yeah, there's zero chance of that happening. The delivery plan is already in motion.
My iPhone 14 Pro Max came in the same shipment as my Apple Watch ultra. I follow their process with the amazing UPS app. They were on the same plane they came through from China to South Korea to Alaska to Kentucky. However, I am in Michigan and my iPhone showed up yesterday and my Apple Watch ultra is still in Kentucky. So I have a feeling they are holding them until Friday which is the official release date. I could be wrong.

Apple gave me a 9/23 delivery date but still shows preparing to ship
It’s going to say that until it clears customs in Louisville, KY. It should change to shipped tomorrow.
Yea if all these deliveries are happening Friday, FedEx and UPS will be overwhelmed.
It’ll change to Shipped on Apple’s site once it clears customs in Louisville. It’s been the same way way for a few years. Carriers typically already have their stock in the US, so many people may not get tracking until 1-2 days before delivery.
Still in Louisville… I’m guessing it won’t leave until tomorrow afternoon sometime.
That's hilarious!!! UPS handles iphone launches... and yeah some slip through the cracks but I bet the percentage is infinitesimal. Apple Watches ain't nothing for them.
I posted on the delayed delivery thread that mine moved back in the right direction (now 10/3-10/7) and my order is preparing to ship. And credit card just charged.

Mine it has been preparing to ship since Thursday last week my Apple Card has been charged since. So no worries have you check UPS my choice. It gave me a piece of mind knowing that already is the US waiting for local customs. 2 more days
My Yellow AWU has stayed in preparing to ship and the date still remains the 23rd, at this point I assume that will be correct. Today is the first day I am a little anxious to get it! Come on Santa!
My Orange Ultra that was Oct 3-10 which became Oct 6-13 is now Oct 4-10 and has moved to preparing to ship 😂
Was planning to go to the store Friday morning to see if I could purchase one there but I guess I should wait to see what happens now that I have moved to PTS.
No complaints here! Will be curious to see someone else in the same delivery window get some tracking information and I will be sure to share if my status changes

The status should change tomorrow. It's normal.
