Kill the battery on the S6 just like what is happening to mine. 😂With these incremental updates, how am I ever supposed to upgrade from my S6?..

I don't want to tho))) I want to upgrade to something that I'll actually like))Kill the battery on the S6 just like what is happening to mine. 😂
Let's see. I'm kinda over Siri, as I'm sure most people are by now))I strongly suspect that part of the reason for the on-device Siri is the beginning of a much larger locally held LLM with far greater functionality, possibly including training prescription.
I do not disagree. Let's see. I'm kinda over Siri, as I'm sure most people are by now))
That was weird - you're quite right. It's bordering on useless at the moment other than turning lights on and off, setting timers and alarms, playing music, navigation...but it could be doing a lot more.Let's see. I'm kinda over Siri, as I'm sure most people are by now))
Sure, just set your HomePods to recognize touch only. 👍🏻Does anyone know if the new HomePod integration (Now Playing within 4 meters of HomePod) can be disabled? I will be annoyed if that happens when my wife is using the HomePod when I'm nearby (and she'll be annoyed when I use it).
I am. I'm spending the 40% inheritance tax before the government gets it.You’d be crazy to upgrade from Ultra 1 to Ultra 2.
Dear lord, you sound like a freakin' Apple marketing exec. How do you know how much of a performance "difference" the S9 chip has over the S8/S7?> "the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a very minor upgrade over the first-generation model"
No, it's not. There is a lot of difference with the brand new CPU, which will improve the battery life a lot. Also, double storage is also making a lot of change for people.
And those who like the updates are not allowed to express their opinion?Dear lord, you sound like a freakin' Apple marketing exec. How do you know how much of a performance "difference" the S9 chip has over the S8/S7?
You shouldn't need our approval or praise to justify you being beholden to Apple's yearly updates that are becoming more and more disappointing and unexciting to the rest of us.
If on device siri can process me setting up a new reminder for something while offline (for example going for a walk without my phone), this is a huge feature for me as I live and die by reminders, and often just want the peace and quiet of not having a phone on my walk.To me, the most important upgrade for the Ultra 2 is, surprisingly, having Siri processed on device. I have encountered a number of situations quite a few times when the Ultra is not processing my Siri commands, usually having to do with Map navigation and I need to finagle and try and try again. Usually this is while I'm driving too![]()
You’d only have 37.5% fewer transistorsyou don't want to be that fool who has 60% less transistors, DO YOU?
I am. I'm spending the 40% inheritance tax before the government gets it.
Yes, it's been pointed out, thank youYou’d only have 37.5% fewer transistors![]()
Absolutely. I set timers with Siri sometimes. And make appointments — it's even nicer, as there are several input points. I don't even use Siri for lights — I use nfc tags and my phone, mostly. That was weird - you're quite right. It's bordering on useless at the moment other than turning lights on and off, setting timers and alarms, playing music, navigation...but it could be doing a lot more.
THANK YOU. Finally a fellow user that actually sees the product from the same angle I do. I'm still using my Fenix for events most likely, especially on courses I haven't run before (for Climb Pro, etc). For just about everything else where I know my way around and for general training, the Ultra 2 does very nicely...and even lets my wife call to ask when the hell I'll be getting back when she needs to.I can certainly see Ultra 1 owners holding out on upgrading, but I’m a Series 7 guy and I can’t wait for my Ultra 2 to get here. There’s a ton of upgrades for me, even if not just for the Ultra-design versus a regular Apple Watch. I’m really looking forward to it and am very excited.
I used to be a dedicated Ultra runner, with the bulk of my races being from 2013-2016. I used the Garmin Phoenix 3 back then and found that it lasted around 13 hours…so I owned two of them and would change them out around the 12-13 hour point. I never ran for more than 24 hours straight, so having dual watches did the trick quite well. Nowadays, I just head out for a casual 4-5 hour run and the Ultra 2 is going to be great for that. The functionality of what an Apple Watch can do absolutely destroys Garmin in my mind. I would only consider Garmin if I was going to head back out there and run for a full day and night.
im using newest version of beta os on my 5 and I noticed it runs a little laggy lately. Have you noticed this?Tough upgrade for me from Series 5. I have used mine daily for the last 4 years and still works perfectly. I am only getting Ultra 2 because my credit card points will pay it off, but I am also eyeing (non-Apple) speakers that are the same price. I have a bit of time to decide.
i just sold my S4 SS for $100 and picked up a pristine AW Ultra with 100% battery health for $475 cash. With these incremental updates, how am I ever supposed to upgrade from my S6?..
