If I plan on keeping my MacBook for five years or more. Does it make sense to do the annual Apple care and not the 3 year plan?

India is going live today. Has a free Apple Pencil with iPads and free AirPods with MacBooks

Finally! Although it had to launch the only day this week I’m busy after work and can’t get to the store to buy my Mac, looks like I’ll have to wait another day before I upgrade!!

It looks like it's just 10%. Regardless, I think I'll splurge for it because when I'm not using it like a MacBook Lite, I plan on using it without a case for reading. It comes to less than $3/mo for two years, and will cover the Air M2 and Magic Keyboard.
It’s 20% like I said. You can check it out.

After a long debate, I ended up with 11 inch M4 ipad, and will buy the apple pencil with GC, since so long as you buy the apple pencil within 60 days of buying the iPad it qualifies for the AC+ so im pretty happy with my decision. PS: for everyone that does this, don´t forget to contact apple support to let them know that you bought the apple pencil to get it under the AC+ policy within those 60 days.

I didn’t think Apple allowed trad-in on current models.
I think it depends on the device - certainly a good reason to allow Mini to Pro for them as the Mini was released in 2021 - mine's AppleCare just expired a week ago - so a good time to upgrade (if I wasn't would have gone Month to Month)

Impressions so far 11" Pro is light as a feather!

Went with a 14 inch MBP M3 Pro with 4TB of storage. Is 4TB overkill? Maybe. But I also thought that when I got 2TB on my last MacBook, and I'm over 1TB used now.

I know, I can use external hard drives. But I don't want to have to stay on top of managing my storage.

nah trust me 4TB is not overkill is about the good size nowadays. any video can take up to 100gb today easily so good choice right there. I got windows not MAC but even so I got like 3.2TB almost gone by now lmfao.

Went with the 13” M4 iPad Pro (2TB, Cellular, Standard Glass, Silver) and Pencil Pro! It’s gorgeous and I’m very impressed with how light it is.

I went with the 11 inch M2 Air 256. I hemmed and hawed about the Pro. I had an M1 Air 256 that I passed down to one of my kids. The other kid has that already. I will wait and maybe get the M4 pro in a year or 2 when it’s $500 or so used. The only reason I changed is because I do several video calls per day and I prefer to do it on the iPad and and the full computer screen to work and wanted the landscape camera. Also, I had a keyboard already so I saved almost $700, the cost of the iPad Air and AppleCare+.
