By placing a product on sale on Black Friday, you're essentially adding that product to the long list of on sale products "mall wide". By doing this, you make the product "eligible" for purchase on Black Friday. On this day, no one is buying anything that's not on sale.

But Apple Stores aren't in malls, so this explanation doesn't make sense.

antiglare

Is there no place to get the antiglare 15" online (minus the apple store of course)?

Bad

I wish Apple wouldn't discount their prices. Who cares how much a product costs, ... as Apple fan boys, we'll gladly pay it! (Over paying for an Apple product makes me feel cool and special)...

I'm more concerned about Apple's high margins. I hope they refrain from cutting prices in the future and jack up prices on future products to make a good 35%-40% margin so that they can bank some more billions and buy Steve a new Business Jet!!!

Let the other "bottom feeders" ("Crappy" Dell and "Clunkly" Microsoft) offer good deals to consumers - I'm more interested profits for the multi-millionaires and billionaires on Apple's board!!

Bizarre. I've been to at least 10 Apple Stores, and none of them were in malls. Are there others?

The one where I live is in a mall. The mall is designed to look like its just another street, but the roof and multiple levels give it away.

Oh and these "discounts are a joke. Merry ****ing Christmas Apple.

I just saved $120 on a Quad-Core iMac with my company EPP and the Black Friday sale. That is better than the educational discount.

2 malls around me have apple stores and there is one in another mall that is about 45 min away.

He is selling them now at full price.
He doesn't really care PMZ can't afford 1K.
Now I know why Welfare is so rampant. Everyone thinks they are in-titled to free stuff.

What a sad, missed opportunity.

$750 MacBooks would fly off the shelves today.

$1000 MacBooks will stay right where they are. Too bad.

Our two local Apple stores are in malls. I'm very disappointed in the Mac discounts. I had planned on getting one of the MB's at Best Buy where you got the $150 gift card. Buy by the time I got there they were all sold out. But maybe it's for the best. I guess I'll just wait for the Tablet when/if it ever comes out. In the meantime I really needed a laptop for a trip we're taking week after next. What I plan on doing now is just packing up my Mini, monitor, keyboard and magic mouse and take it with us.

Don't understand your response Zinka. The apple store in Des Moines, IA where I live is in the Jordan Creek Town Center Mall. The one in my hometown Oklahoma City is in the Penn Square Mall. Apple stores usually are in malls.

LOL ... I should have looked at the other posts. This has been beaten to death in a very short time.

Yep

You mean the same AAPL stock that you're eligible to buy and profit from?

Yep, that's it!!!! Apple produces a great stock!!! Let's hope the Tablet's price is set at about $3000 with a 50-60% margin!!! If enough fan boys buy them, the stock price will go through the roof!!!!! And Apple can bank billions more!!!!! (Maybe next Black Friday they will offer $90 off on them!!!)

Speaking of the Tablet, I hope it has a BIG 160 GIG hard drive and play lots of groovy games, and really cool APPS (Like flashlight and iFart).. On top of that, I'd abondon my 52" inch HD TV and watch movies on the "sexy" and "elegant" 9" iTab screen!!!
