You guys all hammering for the Mini didn’t actually buy it. That’s why Apple stopped production of the 13 Mini halfway through the year. Apple doesn’t listen to y’all anymore. Find something else to moan about.
I am not moaning or whining, but I actually did buy a 13 Mini and I still have it. It is the best iPhone I ever bought. I hope to get another 2 years out of it.

For those saying Apple would never make a "mini" version again because of the wide spread speculation that 12 and 13 mini were discontinued because of poor sales, are missing an obvious point, the iPhone SE is a "mini" iPhone. It's has a 4.7" screen, smaller than the 12 and 13 mini, and has been kept and updated for many years now. So there has clearly been enough of a market for Apple to offer small iPhone.
my 13 mini can be completely hidden/covered by my 3rd gen SE.

if you think the SE is smaller (or 'mini').. you dont know what youre talking about. the screen dimensions arent what people care about when they say they want a new mini. we want a -small- device you can use with one hand and easily slips in a pocket.

the current SE is not that. gen 1 se was perfection.

here we go again w the mini stans thinking the general public actually agree with them

why did yall let the iphone mini flop into oblivion?

The other issue with the mini is:
While mini uses might complain, at the end of the day they will just “hold their nose” and buy another iPhone anyways. The other major phone suppliers don’t make a mini sized alternative. So in the end there is no impact to Apples market.

And there are people who dislike smaller phones, and at a $500 price there are many alternatives that “mini hating” consumers could change to instead. And this would hurt Apple’s market share.

The other factor in this are foldables. But they tend to be premium offerings, not low cost alternatives. And when foldable phones are opened up, they tend to be large phones too
not true, im holding on to my mini

the plebs let it die, thinking they needed ipad mini sized phones.

the vocal mini lovers all own minis, youre preaching to the choir

plenty of people comment on my 12 mini. anyone with a brain is trying to move away from using their phone. plus the mini and the SE were both niche products, so why not combine them?

I remember the 12 selling well, which makes me suspect that for whatever reason, mini buyers are folks who like to hold on their device for a bit. Pragmatic people you might say.

+1. I often look at my 13 mini and I know it’s the best iPhone I have ever bought - it’s just perfect for me.

Congratulations! You now hold the record for the earliest hijacking of a MacRumors thread by a person who says they want a Mini. And, oh yes… you’re still not getting a Mini.

EDIT: I love to see the down votes on posts like this. What is it that you disagree with? The thread was hijacked with the first post. Or fact that you’re still not getting a Mini? Wanna put money on that? 😉
Hijacked lmao touch grass

Shame the direction the SE appears to be going. It filled the nitch of people who wanted a smaller iPhone, or who prefer TouchID, or who didn't like the notch, and who have problems with OLED displays.

Yet people whine about minis every time they get a chance.

- notch instead of dynamic island
- no action button
- no camera shutter
- no ultra wideview

Otherwise identical. Who would buy an iphone 16, 15 or 14 against those specs, at (almost) half the price?

My bet is still on a 5.4-5.8" screen, and the A17 at the max. They are selling A15 (i14), A16 (i15) and A18(i16/i16pro) so there is a gap in their processor line-up. Furthermore, the A17 is also AI compatible.
Speculating the Apple would using the A18 over the A17 here. The A18 uses the newer 3nm node and the A17 uses the older 3nm node. My educated guess is that Apple skipped the M3 in some Macs because the older 3nm node was only meant to be temporary to the true newer 3nm node and that Apple wants to get to the newer node as quickly as possible to save money.

I use my phone all day, so why would I want a 2007-sized phone? I’ve been debating if it’s finally time to make the jump to the max.

No one really cares it just annoying hearing about it all the time when Apple has been pretty clear it isn't coming back.

Not sure what you get out of this. Other people have other opinions. Often they don't align with your own.

Wish they still made a mini - not for me but mum likes small phones. Will hold out until this one releases

I don't care if people say 'mini' didn't sell very well. If they bring back mini, it will be SO much more than they ever did for iphone for past 4 years

I have said this previously but it deserves repeating. The whole concept of the Apple SE phone is to make a cheaper iPhone based on the current processor and scavenging most other parts from all the iPhones that are still in production. The whole concept is to reduce costs by maximizing the use of EXISTING parts. A 6.1 display is the smallest iPhone display still in production so that’s what the new SE4 gets.

Smaller, thinner, touch ID - none of that is in the current iPhone production line so it’s not going to get into a new SE 4 model. Apple is not going to keep parts in production just for an SE iPhone.
