I've had awesome service until recently. The last 2 times I've talked to people the call has dropped. Both other parties were on VZW.

Having grown tired of the terrible AT&T service in NYC (and realizing that everything I love about the iPhone has nothing to do with it's phone capabilities) I terminated my contract with AT&T (paid $100), sold my iPhone, went back to Verizon and got a Blackberry Tour and bough a new iPod Touch. It's so nice having reliable phone service again and the BB Tour is a fantastic phone. These things are so light that carrying two items instead of one isn't even an issue (maybe many years ago when cellphones weighed a ton and MP3 players looked like VCRs it would have been).

Best of both worlds.

Des Moines is mostly solid, some areas are hit and miss. If I'm about 10 mins outside of WDM in Ankeny I drop calls like crazy and also no 3g there, and edge is as slow as I have ever seen it in that area.

Generally speaking I don't have too many gripes with the AT&T service.

Sorta

Kind of. It's much much better then Sprint but I'm here in Dallas and this is where service should be spectacular for ATT. I am having issues with the reception coming in garbled and distorted very badly, I have had a few dropped calls but nothing major "5 times out of about 100 within the last month".

I'll stick around until next year but I will keep an eye out for Verizon and if they evolve some. There phones are soooo ugly and there bills are pretty high when I compare it to my plan with ATT plan.

not to be a jerk or anything... but your poll is slanted to favor AT&T. You're splitting those who are unhappy and those who are hit-and-miss. As such, your poll looks as if most people are happy with the service... when in reality, most are not. It's something AT&T would use to say most of their service is good.

A more accurate poll would have been Yes or No, period.

I'm happy with my iPhone service, but if T-Mobile randomly picked up a deal with Apple, I'll most likely jump ship. My sister has service through them, and she no problems. Plus, she gets more minutes while paying less.
