Fair point, but when was the last time we were really surprised? The rumors and speculation of the specs this close to the release have been fairly accurate for many cycles now.
This is my plan as well. Would be good to stick with one device for a couple of years.Sticking with my XS Max.... will wait for 5G and hopefully USB- C in the 2020 model. a design change would be welcome as well.
Yes, the potential of 5G reasonable....even if 5G not available for AT&T, it will be at some point in 2020 ipHone purchase.
Doesn’t every smart phone manufacture tout design aesthetics? They all do that, it’s not just Apple. Generally, all smart phones look the same, the only real major difference would be the back of smart phones.
Don't really want to upgrade to a bigger phone, but with my iPhone 6 becoming five years old and no longer being supported by software updates, I kinda have to.
I've skipped every iPhone, including the 2007 original......
I like to be off-line when I leave my desk in my apartment. On the rare occasion that I do carry a mobile phone it is a Nokia 3310, however it is mostly left at home on top of the fridge. I got fibre internet installed a few years ago (with the landlord's permission), but have never had a phone line.
Incredible though it may seem to many in this post iPhone age, where so many are connected 24/7, I have never owned a smartphone, and am unlikely to ever own one. As I said I prefer be off-line when I leave my desk.

I was an early adopter of the mobile phone when it arrived where I lived back in the early '90s because I was doing seasonal work and lived a somewhat itinerant life. However, as calls were expensive then, I used it only when really necessary.
Where I lived for a couple of years in the early '80s we didn't have mains electricity (just a couple of hours on a generator each evening), and the nearest telephone was over a dozen miles away. We did have running water, from damed spring on a hillside nearby, which was reliable year round. We got by just fine.
I can’t reach the top of my fridge. I guess that’s a good thing. Knowing me, I would clutter it up if I could reach it.I've skipped every iPhone, including the 2007 original......
