I'll prolly buy the iPhone 6 and wait til a jb comes for it. I have a jb 5s in the mean time. Once it comes I'll sell the 5s

I'm going to stick with jailbroken 7.1.2 on my 5s. There are a select few tweaks that I'm not going to be able to live without after using them daily on 7.1.2. I'm really hoping that iOS 8 gets jailbroken at some point.

Yup. I think pangu does it quick too honestly. Or at least bc they released the 7.1 jb it'll motivate the others to quickly come out with one

I'm going to keep my iOS 7.1.2 jailbreak I think. My guess is that it will take a long time for an iOS 8 jailbreak to be released. And even then, everything works with iOS 7 right now and my phone is basically perfect.

Personally I'd like to keep my jailbreak primarily because I don't want to pay for hotspot but I am also curious about iOS 8. I did see an .ipcc file that I wonder if it'll work with 8 because it unlocked hotspot. And I know when 8 hits, 7 firmware won't be signed by apple anymore.

Meh

I will go all iOS8.

I switched from the old "unlimited" ATT plan to a Mobile Shared plan, I save over $200/month doing this and I get mobile hotspot for free now.
(I had 8 phone lines on unlimited + a MiFi and combined we never went over 17GB combined, a 30GB shared plan saves a ton.)

slighty OT. Didnt pangu claim their JB still works on iOS8? i hope it wont be long before we get the jb

I JB only for:

Activator
Apptray
Swipe selection
Maps Opener
Purge

Will prolly update to ios 8 and wait for a JB

I mainly jailbreak for Auki... apple seems to have added QR in iOS 8 so i dont see any reason for it.

However if they release one for iOS 8 i will probably jailbreak

I'm a bit indifferent. I could keep my jail break, but I think about eventually iOS8 will be jailbroken eventually, and i tend to upgrade straight away, and can live without the jailbreaking tweaks for a while. :)

However in this case, i am not sure it would be viable to upgrade my iPad 3 to iOS8. Still indifferent.

I will defiantly switch to ios8 on a new iPhone 6, no one even knows if it will be jailbreaked and it could take months if so..

Kinda useless to walk around with two phones.. I will keep my jb on my iPad duo

I use a lot of tweaks and it's gonna suck without it but a rather have a new iPhone then jb ;)

Uhm yeah. This question is asked every time there's a new iPhone or a new jailbreak.

Let me know when Apple implements f.lux into iOS. Then and only then will there be no need for jailbreaking.

Jailbreaking, BTW, is the only thing keeping me remotely sane on this god-awful version (7.1.2) of iOS.

I'll be a very, very happy person the day Apple releases F.lux on an iPhone. My eyes get destroyed on the small bright screens. I almost always have F.lux on full even during the day my eyes are so sensitive. I'd love it on a phone.

Nothing about ios8 worth me losing a jailbreak. That said, I'll be getting a 6 as well. Definitely won't upgrade any devices until 8 is jaibroken.

That exploit will be closed if it isn't already.

Yeah, it's a really nice tweak. Most people think all it does is color your screen orange, but what it's really doing is simply reducing the amount of blue light. I use it on my Macs and my devices.

I have to say though that after installing the Eclipse tweak and rendering everything in blacks and grays I've been able to reduce f.lux's strength. Black screens are easier to read at night and I have auto brightness on which reduces the screen brightness at night as well. That said, f.lux is still one of the tweaks I really like.

it still hasnt been according to reddit

Well it would be really sweet if it would remain that way for the final release of ios8, but history has shown us otherwise!

That said, I wonder if it would be worth jail breaking whatever beta ios8 is currently in and sticking with it till we have a jb for the public release.

Edit: just did a quick search. Sounds like most folks on reddit think worldello's "reverse engineered pangu jailbreak" is fake.

The highest jailbroken iOS 8 beta version I think was 1 or 2... it was blackgeek's work using some form of Pangu. (Correct me if I'm wrong - I haven't been following iOS 8 much)

I'm one of the people that believe it's fake. It certainly is. There is even a reddit thread about why it is fake.

I would be willing to bet that I think iOS 8's final version surely patched whatever pangu used. It's not like apple to not patch a jailbreak in a final release. Normally they leave it in the first few betas, but by the end it is patched.

I'm gonna upgrade to ios 8 just because it has wifi calling on T-mobile, hopefully multiple teams working on the jailbreak again so someone releases early jailbreak again.

I've been upgrading to every model for years but been telling myself wait for the "s" model this year cause it'll have a jb by then.

But we all know that won't happen...

I'm torn.

I jailbreak primarily for bite SMS and springtomjse and folder enhancer.

I like the quick reply. But there's a quick reply in ios8.

But I also like to be able to put as many icons as I want in a folder. I like to be able to put folders in folders, I like to be able to remove the icon names and get rid of the ridiculous dock.

With the names under the icons and folders the home screen to me looks incredibly cluttered. Plus I don't need the names. I downloaded it. I know full well what it is. In not three I don't need a reminder.

I like themes. Because I dislike the design on the new iOS. It looks to me, childish and as if they got a bored three year old to design it with crayons

So I want the new iPhone but for me, unless I can jailbreak it's not worth having it. I know I will prefer my jailbroken iPhone 5. And I don't want to spend £540 on a phone I don't like as much as the one I already have.

But, a that said. I want the new iPhone. So can I live without these things until the jailbreak is released?

My iPad isn't getting upgraded. I only use it for XBMC and moveibox. Neither of which are available without a jailbreak. So updating it would render it useless for my needs.

When apple provides FULL administrative rights I will no longer need the jailbreak

Would you use a laptop/desktop without the same?

Didn't thinks so

And if you were using a android t mobile phone.
You would have also had the wifi calling for years.
It is nothing new

The other thing that got me really excited for ios 8 is the real swype/swiftkey keyboard. With the jailbreak there are many tweaks that try to be a swype replacment for ios but I tried almost all of them and they all suck as far as trying to guess the word you're trying to type.
I feel like the jailbreak will once again come out around Christmas time maybe a bit earlier but that's just speculation.

Already upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 8. No hesitation it's just a better release.

Having 1Password integrated in apps where I need it for password retrieval and the improved keyboard with suggested words is great. I'll probably install SwiftKey when it becomes available on the 17th too.

Also the "Hey Siri" feature where you can activate Siri with that phrase instead of pushing the home button works REALLY well and it's a lot of fun to use. Just a shame the iPhone has to be connected to a power source to use it. I think this may be what pushes me to get an elevation dock so I can use Siri completely hands free.
