Enjoy. You will not regret it!!

Yup know I won't. The 2018 I have is really good and still goes strong...Just my daughter has it as her school one broke
Decided the LCD vs Mini LED was not worth waiting a year for(and its still may not come over even OLED)
Have the pencil 2 and and magic keyboard. Plus I love universal control with iPad and Mac mini!

Went for silver as I have too much grey in my life ! decided 256gb was enough and instead went cellular...Roll on 26th

yes, for me M2 and those pro apps that are coming to ipad are the big news
DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Photoshop, Affinity 2 , Octane X, uMake all are coming

My interests lie in Photography, and we already have a version of photoshop. Not sure if it means they release a second tablet version of PS that's more full featured for M2. If it were tied only to M2, that might make me budge a bit as it would be nice to do edits on one device alone. For now, I can do like 80-90% of my photo edits between current Lightroom and Photoshop. I'd be willing to bet though that even my 2018 IPP would be able to handle a full featured version. Not sure how much sway Apple has over Adobe in that decision though.

Last year I went from the original iPad Pro to the M1. Huge upgrade! The pictures seem to pop out of the screen on the new one but honestly I always thought the original looked good at the time.
I look forward to the change for sure. Don't "need" it seeing as I have the M1 Macbook Pro maxed out, but I also enjoy drawing on my iPad Pro and decided to switch to the M2 version.

Got to be one of the worse updates in recent memory.

will certainly keep my M1 iPad pro for a while. Maybe review things for when OLED arrives

I'm not upgrading per-se. I had a number of iPads from the OG through the OG Pro model. My previous company bought the last few for me. I've now been without an iPad for ~5 years and decided I want to buy one.

Ended up getting an M2 11 inch + a magic keyboard. Was on the fence if I should get the M1 version though, very minimal differences, none of which I'll notice.

I have a first gen 12.9 128 so I am thinking about it. I would love to have some more storage and a little more speed.

Just got the M1 6 months ago and see nothing to be envious of here. I usually keep my iPads 3+ years (iPad 2 —> iPad Air 2 —> iPad Air 3 —> iPad Pro M1) so should be good for a long while.

It remains to be seen if DaVinci requires M2 to run at all, or it just runs faster/better than it will on M1.

I just want to bump from an 11" to a 12.9". My 11" is a 2021 so it's not much of a tech upgrade, but it will give me the larger screen I want.

Such a disappointing release. I will be waiting for Black Friday sales on the M1 IPP. Walmart had the base model 11" for $599. If I can get one for that price I will sell my 5th Gen air but I am not sure.

I got my air for $449 with all the discounts so it was a pretty sweet deal and I like the purple color alot.

However the M2 iPP is not enticing at all as the M1 is more than powerful enough for an iPad.

I have the IPad Air 4 ( gift from my husband) & a refurbished 2021 12.9 iPad Pro. I dabble with Procreate & adult coloring books using my Apple 🖊 but since my primary use for both iPads is to consume content why would I upgrade? I use the Air 4 at night for meditation videos & the M1 Pro to read, watch movies and draw. I have plenty, no need to fork over $1,100 given my usage needs.

YES! I use the iPad more than my 14PM and Ultra. More time is spent on my iPad than any other device. The 12.9 is ordered with faster WiFi, cellular and Bluetooth.

Uh, there is no landscape camera on the iPad Pro. That’ll be the 7th gen iPP, next year.

Average Joe upgrades iPads every 4-6 years. I am coming from a 2017 10.5” IPP that is going flat on the battery. I am upgrading to the M2 12.9” IPP with keyboard and Pencil 2. That should last me at least 5 years and will be a huge upgrade - for me.

I have a 2020 12.9 iPad Pro and was looking to upgrade to a Mini-LED screen along with the M1 or M2 chip speed improvements. If I'm being honest I have to say this is a pretty weak update. Apple just frustrates me in general. We are always waiting for the next big update and for the last few years we have not really seen it. I'm all in on the Apple ecosystem and their products are as a whole more reliable than anyone else's but some of the magic is just gone. I don't want to be one of the "If Steve was still around" people but Apple really needs to do something more. They have the highest profit margin by far with consumer electronics. With all their money and resources they need to wow us occasionally and it has been a very long time since that has happened.

Sorry agreed.
Sixth gen iPad Pro was the new one that was just released. I’m sure you meant 7th gen. That’s the one I’m looking at. This is definitely one of the most, if not the most, minor refreshes the iPad Pro has ever seen IMO. In fact, this one actually made me want to wait for the next one because now there is a decent chance the next iPad Pro will have a landscape camera, and Ross Young, one of the most reliable serial Apple leakers of all time, is saying they’ll have OLED (Both models, which should be good news for fans of the 11”, although I’m the sort of person who wants the biggest screen, so I’ll go for the 12.9” next time as well, especially if they don’t redesign the Magic Keyboard)

I’m disappointed that we did not get 24GB of RAM in the high end iPads, since the M2 allows for it on the Macs, but then again it would drive up the price. The 2TB cellular 12.9” iPad Pro is already more expensive than the base model M1 Pro 16.2” Macbook Pro

I think it's a coin toss between this and the 2020 iPad Pro.
