My apologies if this has already been asked. I do not have automatic updates activated. So, when I manually update an app on the "Updates" tab of the App Store, the update goes smoothly. In IOS 6, however, the app that needed to be updated would disappear after the update was done. Now, in IOS 7, it just stays there and says "open." Is there a way to make the Apps that have been updated disappear from this page? Am I missing something obvious?

Nope, no way to do this even if you turn off auto updates. They disappear after a while though - from my experience (running iOS 7 the past three months), usually after a couple weeks or less.

Nevermind! Figured it out! lol

When I first did the iOS7 update, my passcode screen numbers were a beautiful transparent collection of rainbow bubbles! While playing around with all the new features, I inverted the colors on my phone just to see what it would look like. My passcode screen numbers went to an awful gray. :( I switched it back, but my passcode screen numbers aren't going back to the pretty rainbow bubbles they're staying the ugly gray! How can I get them back to the pretty rainbow ones?

I'm editing my post. I figured it out! Had the contrast increase turned on!! :)

How do you reject a call? All I get is slide to answer. No option to slide the other way and ignore or send a message. Also, how do you clear the missed calls from the notification center? It wont swipe and if I tap it, it just calls it.

Yup. Need to learn to keep my fingers higher i guess.

Ok, someone let me know that in settings, under control center, you can turn off the control center while using apps, so it solves the accidentally hitting the control center when doing general scrolling. I don't know how I missed that setting but Im glad to know now. It is still able to be brought up on the home screen. Yay, one less issue for me! ;-)

To reject a call, double click the power button (sleep/wake button).

To clear the recent call from NC, you have to go to the phone app, then check the recent tab. That will clear it.

Is there a way to disable passcode and just use your fingerprint to unlock? I thought the whole point was to prevent access to your phone? Defeats the purpose when someone can just slide and enter your password to unlock it.

No, you cannot disable the passcode, you need your password as backup. What happens if the fingerprint scanner fails?

What you can do, is enter a longer, more complex pass code instead of the 4 digit one. This way, you can easily access your phone with touch ID, if the scanner ever fails, you have a backup password, and if someone tries to access your phone, it's secure due to the longer complex passcode.

Thanks. One more question. After I input a new number with the keypad, can I text that number? Seems I have to add it as a contact first.

If I have iOS 7 GM installed and iTunes beta, is there any advantage to putting the 'official' iOS 7 and iTunes on my phone/computer? Or did everyone pretty much just leave the GM on?

For iOS 7, the GM is the public release. Same build same exact thing. No difference, you're good to go.

For iTunes, there is an updated version, the official release of iTunes 11.1. You can download it from apples site.

GM *is* the official iOS 7... but you shouldn't leave the beta of iTunes on your computer.

almost made a new thread, but I'll try here:

How do I clear a Missed call from the Missed tab in notification center?

My work called me in the morning, and I called back, but the damn Missed call notification is still there 12 hours later and I can't seem to X it out or clear it.

What am I missing here? Even clicking on the missed call notice and making the call doesn't remove it. I really hate seeing this stuck here as I have become OCD with clearing notifications.

Phone app, go to recents tab. Should clear it.

Maybe I should create a new thread but I have a question caused by an intriguing issue. Opening power points natively from the mail app on iOS 6 was of no issue. I noticed today that certain power points will no longer open after restoring to iOS 7 (yes I fully restored and did not upgrade and did not restore backup). Previously on iOS 6, power points made with a ppt, pptx, or pptm extension opened fine. However, pptm extensions no longer open natively. Why would Apple purposely cripple a feature like this? Is this a bug? And can anyone duplicate?

Where is the font size adjustment on safari reader just like in iOS6...

Yeah, that's gone :(

I suppose the only workarounds until/if they update the ios..... are changing the text size in General/Text Size (but that does it for all apps).... or using the zoom gestures in Settings/Accessiblity/Zoom

SAFARI QUESTION-1:

In newer iOS's, 6 &/or 7, can we STILL view 8-browser windows "SIDE-by-SIDE" as in older iOS's vs. "stacked behind each other"?

I saw a photo at ArsTechnica of iOS.7 "stacked" browser pages. Ugh. But they did not say whether this can be turned Off in Settings. Can it? (Ditto iOS.6?)

(I never liked/use "Tabs" as in 3rd-party browser apps, but always loved Safari instead that lets me have 8 browser pages/windows open at the same time, sitting Side-by-Side each other Horizontally. Perfect. Like sitting at a conference table with 8 legal pads of research notes, all side-by-side, not piled up on top of each other.)

Thank you!

Traffic in iPhone 4

I still didn't get an answer and I can't seem to find one.

Did Apple just left out the "traffic" conditions for iPhone 4 users (Notification Center)? I can't seem to understand.

I don't have Frequent Locations option on preferences, but I do have the Traffic option.

Can anyone please explain me what's the point? I can't seem to understand why they would do this, since the iPhone 4 can track the locations just like any other...

What is the new wallpaper size to account for parallax?

From what I've noticed trying to play around with dimensions of a pic that was getting cut off when used as a wallpaper, with parallax on, is iOS 7 enlarges the images to compensate for the effect. I've enlarged and reduced the size of the pic, but it always comes up the same way on screen. Except the reduced resolution version doesn't look as clear. Due to the lower res. And despite having plenty of the image, you have limited movement of where to place the image. ie. if you pull the image to the left it snaps back to where iOS 7 wants it to be.

----------

I've been reading how some features in iOS 7 is disabled in the iPhone 4 and earlier models. But if the parallax effect doesn't work on the iPhone 4, how come I've been reading a number of posts from other forums (as well as my cousins' experience), that iPhone 4 users are getting motion sickness from the parallax effect. And because it's not available in Settings, they have no way of turning it off? Is there a workaround to this?

This certainly could have already been asked, but I don't want to sift through 17 pages. How do you Tweet and/or update your Facebook status via iOS? In iOS 6, we had the share buttons in the notification center. Now I can't seem to find them for the life or me. Unless that is something Apple got rid of in iOS 7.
