My online order for a XS using a number port from Sprint is in Pending port approval status moment after I submitted

The port website says port is completed but online order status still is pending port approval.

The Ecom department service agents have no idea why the latest status is not updated in the system. They keep saying the order is submitted and ready to ship.

Last year my X order was cancelled right like this with no option me to change it correct anything.

The customer service agents just don’t understand what questions are and how to respond.

Waste of time

Kinda of a silly question, but making sure. This delivery from what Fedex requires a signature right ? Want to make sure someone is available for that if needed

Yes it requires a signature. If no one is home they will put a slip on the door letting you know the next time they will attempt to deliver. At that point you could log in to your FedEx account, assuming you have one, and select a new date or have them hold it for pickup.

not always. depends on your neighborhood and history with FedX. Apple leaves it at their discretion. i live in a very safe area/neighborhood so I've never had to sign they leave it right on the doorstep without even knocking. it'll tell you if it requires a signature on Sat it's shipped

Thinking of cancelling my order to get the XS instead of max. AT&T still has Sept 21st delivery but Apple store has Oct 1st delivery. Isn’t that a bit odd? Or should I be okay cancelling and re-ordered through AT&T?

I appreciate it. Good luck!

I just got home took me 3 hours in the ATT store but now I am good to go so here is what happened. First on 9/14/18 I submitted a online application and got approved for 3 lines all 0 down and submitted to port all 3 lines from T-Mobile. I paid and got one email saying thank you for your order. 1 hour later I got a email saying to call them as they need more information.I called ATT they had no clue and tried to reprocess with no luck. So I went in the store and they tried but it was blocked as fraud due to multiple applications.I was told to cancel the previous order but the cancel button on the order was not working. The store contacted fraud department ect to verify identity ect but they were still getting blocked due to the online order still being in the system. After hours in the store they closed and we couldn’t get the online order cancelled. After I left The ATT store I called customer service they were able to get the order cancelled and assured me that everything was good to go and to submit another order. I then Submitted another order and got the thank you for your order email. This morning The second order auto cancelled. The email said we couldn’t verify your identity. So once again I went to the ATT store to see what was going on. He scanned my drivers license ect and tried a order but it also flagged as fraud. Upon waiting literally forever for them to connect to someone who could help we finally got ahold of he fraud department in the store. This time I verified name, address, social security number, answered the identity questions that the system generated and was asked for a secondary ID and the manager in the store had to verify with the fraud people on the phone. Everything checked out good and they finally got it all cleared. They said that between the store and online there were 10 applications in. So we are now ready to preorder once again as I said earlier I ported 3 lines from T-Mobile two will be XS Max’s and one was a IPhone 7 for my daughter. What we did this time was got the iPhone 7 and ported that number in the store to actually have a ATT account immediately. Then after we did that We went and preordered one IPhone XS max. After I paid I immediately got the second email with my T-Mobile phone number listed on it and showing the price and $0 down. Now on to the third phone now all of a sudden a deposit is required when It wasn’t previously upon asking I got no explaination that made sense and due to irritation I just paid it to get the order in.Tha order also generated the second email immediately with the pricing and phone number ect. So now it is all done and I am almost sure that I will not have any issues. I am really disappointed with Att and frustrated and think that after spending two days with issues that they should have offered me something for my time, I literally was 2 seconds away from going down the street to Verizon but I kept my composure and patience. The only reason I stayed with Att is because Verizon shows October dates on all phones and me being such a Apple fan I wanted day one phones. My orders say 9/21 and if it holds true ATT held onto me due to them having stock on the phone when others are delayed. My fingers are crossed and I hope I get the phones. If I don’t receive them I will cancel with Att and stand in line at the Verizon store for day 1 launch phones. P.S. Att customer service over the phone is garbage even the store employees could barely get any help from them.

The delivery dates. How could the carrier have a launch day delivery and the Apple Store not?

They have a certain amount of launch phones for everybody including themselves. More people Probably all ordered from Apple using Apple Pay. You can literally order phones In less than one minute on the Apple store app. Have the items saved in your favorites before they close the app for updates. Then when it’s live click it and scan your fingerprint or Face ID. The carriers online or over the phone is a lot slower.

Wow. Thanks for the update. I agree AT&T reps have no idea what they are doing. You’re lucky to get a somewhat knowledgeable one.

I would suggest you go into the store. I forgot to mention I also got a email about my numbers being ported from ATT when the store did it. Did you receive a email with a picture of your phone with the phone program you choose and your $0 down or down payment with what you paid? To me it seems if you didn’t receive this there is a issue as it should come fast if everything is good. I hope your good to go with your current order though.

i received the 2nd email confirming sales tax and saying we are good to go. the port website now says “Confirmed”, but online status still same as Pending Port Approval.

The. It’s probably just a delay on the ATT website. I would say your should be fine.

Is it too early to be feeling the angst of the order status’ not changing quick enough even though we know launch day isn’t until Friday? :D

This also happened to me last year. Ended up getting one that Sunday from the Apple Store without any issues. I'm worried about my orders. My first one was cancelled with no explanation. I only knew because I received a second email for my second order, but not the first. I was told to order again. This time I got both emails. We'll see what happens.

may be. but att is notorious to cancel the orders on their whims and pretend they know nothing about what happened and what to do to fix it. they are victims of their own systems.
