I preordered at 2:01 AM Central using the Apple Store app. I ordered the ATT Space Gray iPhone Max 512 GBS with 9/21 delivery. I used IUP. This was one of my fastest purchases since I was preapproved.

Same thing happened to me. Got on Apples site and went through order as usual and got cannot process. Tried like 5 times and then just ordered it through AT&T. May have been something with At&t's servers because we both were trying the same phone as well....

Att website was acting weird with me that night. It wouldn't let me add a new line to buy the device. It kept saying something went wrong and was promting me to buy the phone outright even though I'm eligible for 10 lines

Just an FYI. I was charged the taxes on a credit card I had on file about 5 1/2 hours after I placed my order.
Thanks for the heads up- I have auto pay on with a checking account- that was the only payment method I had until 2 seconds ago when I just added my credit card just in case they charge it. I wouldn't be surprised if I see it on my bill either

Where is the thread from last year - that can give us indication of when orders went to preparing for shipment - no?
[doublepost=1537021885][/doublepost]Just did some research on this forum.

Last year the 8 Plus was available for Pre-Order on 9/15/17.
In the AT&T the first post with order updates being Preparing for Shipment were 9/17/17

So maybe we will see some movement tomorrow.

I ordered my 256 Max yesterday around 10am EST and was charged for the sales tax immediately and received a confirmation email and then about 5 hours later another email with status update saying it will arrive 9/21. Looks like the status update email was just notifying me of new number that was assigned since I’m adding a line.

Correct me if I am wrong- but even if ATT ships your iphone with UPS- we will not be given the UPS driver GPS tracker spiff you get like when ordering from Apple? Anyone get this last year when ordering through ATTs site?

I have both of those emails as well- just going to wait it out and see. If I have to reorder its not a big deal as it seems I may only have to wait an additional week with how many people aren't upgrading....

By the way according to my order email my order was placed at 11:49 PM pst / 2:49 AM est

I was going to wait and go to a store Friday to see if I could pick up a XS Max but I decided to go ahead and order through ATT. I placed my order on 9/15/18 at 9:55 AM CST for a Apple Watch Series 4 Space Black Aluminum (I wanted Stainless but the shipping dates were in November) and a iPhone XS Max 256 GB Silver. Both are showing delivery by September 21st. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it was delayed until the following week, but I have never had a estimated date move further out. I was feeling left out of the preorder hype this year. I feel better, yet more excited, and unfortunately slightly more impatient now.

what second email?

The email confirming the order with the pricing and phone models ect. The first email just says thank you for your order.

There's a second email that shows how much you paid and gives you the option to check order status. Dont panic it's nothing

I am just nervous as ATT already had a error with my first order and they had to cancel it and re order. I don’t want it to happen again.

Let me correct myself. I did receive both emails for both orders yesterday. 4 emails total.
[doublepost=1537026004][/doublepost]What is the significance of the first and second emails from AT&T that I keep seeing people referencing? Is it a big deal if you don't have the second email?

I received both emails for.both orders about 2 minutes apart from one another.

What's the significance of the first and second email. Does it mean anything about your order?

I just preordered the iPhone XS Max 256GB in Gold and the date was for Sept 21. Hoping that’s true! I left T-Mobile because they made me extremely upset that I had to pay $675 for a down payment for their well qualified customers so I switched to AT&T where I had $0 down.
