Reps on the phone and in store all said my preorders would be delivered on the 20th. This has been the case with Android (Samsung) phones in the past, but as we know they don't always know what's going on. They could in fact ship on the 19th and be overnighted. We will see in the coming days
That's because Samsung doesn't put a Street day lock on the devices meaning the shipping carriers can deliver it whenever they feel like it . Apple on the other hand has a contract with carriers where they can't deliver the phone until release date or they will pay a hefty fine.

I've never done a pre-order for Samsung

This is false. I get every Samsung device every year. I pre ordered the note 9 and the s9 plus this year and when they give you the shipping info it says it's on a delivery hold comments from the shipper.

I've also gotten iPhones a day early while I was with Verizon

I saw one reply, but did anyone else order and have $0.00 due at check out? (Meaning the taxes were NOT charged at the time of the order). Checking my order status all seems well, it's still "In Progress" -- I've checked the account multiple times and nothing came up saying anything about "attention needed" or anything.

A few things of note, the account I'm on is an EMO (Employee) account (my brother's). I asked him but he's not even sure how that works but said he has heard of it going onto the next bill in some cases. I had one person reply saying that happened to them but then it charged their payment method on file like 5 hours later. We do have a payment option on file but it did NOT charge that and it's a few days later now. Did anyone else get NO tax due at the time of their order? Was I rushing through so quickly that I didn't notice their was maybe an option to pay now or have it billed?
I had this happen. Literally NO option to pay taxes or have them put on my bill and I was expecting it based on previous years. I ordered through the AT&T iOS app.

I chatted with an AT&T rep and they assured me everything was ok. The person did say that if taxes aren’t due based on your shipping zip code, they will be charged to your first bill.

No one got it that early. I'm a frequent and trusted member on android central and no one no carriers, no orders from Samsung came that early. If anything some people were lucky and it got delivered one day early by accident. I can even show you when my order came from Samsung. It wasn't 4 days early lol. Show me your tracking info

Lol but you said 3-4 days early. That's 2 days early so you exaggerated to try and prove a point. Some people get lucky like I said. But also I've gotten iPhones a day or 2 before release day so that statement you made about them being held was false

Yep sorry, He pulled me into his trolling and I fell for it. Back to apple!
I wasn't trolling you were just wrong and tried to lie and say you got it 4 days early when you didn't. If catching you in a lie is trolling then so be it. But anyway back to apple. Have a blessed day
