XS Silver 256gb waiting around in Indianapolis

Interesting that not many seem to be going for the 512GB, I think 256 is perfect for most people, hell the most space I’ve used on mine is from offline music, I have about 70GB downloaded, and another 20 or so for my Photo Library. So total I’m only using half the space of my 256GB iPhone 8. I don’t see myself needing more than that for a looooong time.

This isn't a FedEx restriction, it's an AT&T one.
[doublepost=1537459586][/doublepost]I just got a text from AT&T saying my phone is on the way, with a link to helpful videos.
Shipper controls what can be done. UPS let me place a hold for service center pickup in the past. Fedex does not as per AT&T.

Sadly, I've been stuck on Preparing to Ship since Saturday. No movement, no tracking. 64 XsMax space Gray, anyone with the same issue?

8 is the absolute latest. Most drivers delivering these tomorrow will punched out at like 5-6pm and on their way home to their family lol. It will most likely show up between 10:30-3pm, depending on how the driver wants to run their route that particular day.
I literally got mine from UPS guy one year at 8:30. Apparently it ended up on the wrong truck and when the driver went to return to the depot, it was still there and had to come back out to deliver. He wasn't happy as he was dropping off on the way home for him. I was crazed all day.

Hopefully this year sooner. In new neighborhood,so not as familiar with what time Fedex guy normally comes. I already know the UPS guy doesn't normally come till 4pm or later.

Ordered mine on the 16th, original ship date said Sept 24-October 1st. Just got my shipping notification from AT&T with delivery tomorrow. So happy to be getting mine earlier than expected.

I figured this would be the case for those who ordered later. Congrats

Has anyone had any luck being able to have your order/expected delivery to be held at a local Fed/Ex? I spoke with a Fed/Ex rep and he states that the Shipper (Apple) has requested that the delivery not be changed until "one" delivery attempt has been made. I would much rather pick it up first thing in the morning at a Fed/Ex facility tomorrow, but doesn't appear that can happen.

The AT&T app is finally reflecting that my 256g XS Max Gold has shipped; however, the Deliver By date is now blank. Oh, well, as long as Fedex is still reflecting delivery tomorrow, I won’t fret over it. My new Speck clear case is so lonely sitting here all alone, lol.

Has anyone that ordered any accessories with their iPhones from AT&T have any luck with them coming together? I grabbed some screen protectors, have tracking for my iPhone but it says they haven’t shipped yet.

Yeah, I went back and forth a lot trying to decide if I was going to go for the 512GB or not. My 8 Plus is 256GB, and I haven't even come close to using half the capacity (actually, I'm just using barely over a third). So ultimately, I decided to get the Silver Max 256GB. More storage is always better, but since I'm not coming anywhere near the 256GB it just seemed wasteful.

Actually, I probably could have gone with 256GB on my iPad Pro as well, but since I now use it more than my MacBook Pro, I opted for 512GB. I'll probably go 512GB there again whenever a new version comes out. For the iPhone, I will likely stick with 256GB in the future as well unless my use cases change and I begin to use more of the storage.

Got my shipping notifications from AT&T for two iPhone XS Max 64GB I ordered on 9/14 around 7:40 PM EDT. The first email came at 1:40 PM EDT and the second one came at 2:41 PM EDT. The tracking numbers are for USPS. That works in my favor if that’s the case because my mail is normally delivered between 1 and 3 PM. Not sure if that’ll change if USPS is making a bunch of iPhone deliveries in my area.

Got an email with tracking today too. My amazon case and glass protector will also be here tomorrow!

256 Max SG, ordered at 10:30am CST on 9/15.

Yeah the UPS guys stay out until late. FedEx Express guys with normal routes don't work much past 5pm.

AT&T Really botched up my order this year....but not how you'd expect.

I got my order in a couple minutes after 3am (east coast) and went to bed happy that it was done.....but when I woke up the next day, had an email saying I needed to call about my order, or it would be cancelled. *UGH*

So I called.....after being transferred 3 times, on separate calls, I finally got someone who actually wanted to help me. He looked over the order, and confirmed there was an issue with it. According to him, it didn't tell him what the issue was....and there was nothing he could do to clear it. It would have to be cancelled, and a new order placed.

I was pissed. I woke up at 3am just to be put at the end of the line the next day? After I explained why that wasn't acceptable, he offered to append the new order and, with supervisor approval, it would be delivered the 21st. I agreed, since it was the best possible outcome. (And yes, it's shipped on time, so bravo to the rep)

So I check my AT&T account, and it indeed said, the old order was cancelled and a new order, with a 9/21 delivery date was placed. This calmed my agitation.

Ok, so after a few days, I check my account again, and my new order says...."Preparing to ship." Hooray! But wait.....my original order says that too.....so I opened up the original order.....Still says cancelled. So I chalk it up to a glitch.

Today, I wake up and see a shipping notice for my new order.....followed by one for my old order....different tracking numbers, that both work, and both show destinations in my town. What the actual frack....??

I check my account again, and just as before, the original order says "Preparing to ship," but once opened, shows cancelled. The new order shows correctly as shipped.

Sooooo.....Looks like I'm getting two phones? What the crap AT&T? I'm sure I'll have to send one back or pay for it somehow....but geezus what a blunder.....

Be sweet if they didn’t charge you for it

I think so. And for me, I have a 256GB iPad Pro, so many things like movies and documents get dumped onto my iPad for viewing and that frees up space on my phone

During the iPhone 6/6 Plus cycle, the UPS driver literally drove past my house.... and then drove past my house again.... and didnt deliver it. Then UPS updated my date to the next day.... like WHY?! IT WAS ON THE TRUCK!!! I WATCHED THE TRUCK DRIVE PAST MY HOUSE!

That year..... all of my rage lol

Just got notification that it has left Indianapolis.

It's always interesting to see how the logistics work out - this phone went from Irving to Fort Worth, then BACK to Irving for some unknown reason, then to Indianapolis. Now it has left there to come back down to Georgia.
