I literally got mine from UPS guy one year at 8:30. Apparently it ended up on the wrong truck and when the driver went to return to the depot, it was still there and had to come back out to deliver. He wasn't happy as he was dropping off on the way home for him. I was crazed all day.

Hopefully this year sooner. In new neighborhood,so not as familiar with what time Fedex guy normally comes. I already know the UPS guy doesn't normally come till 4pm or later.
Hey, mine was once shipped to Oregon. i live in CT.

Just got notification that it has left Indianapolis.

It's always interesting to see how the logistics work out - this phone went from Irving to Fort Worth, then BACK to Irving for some unknown reason, then to Indianapolis. Now it has left there to come back down to Georgia.
Mine must be in the same box! Also departed at 5:13!

I ordered my XS Gold 256 GB on Sept. 18th at 8:39 PM and got an email saying it was shipped by FedEx today and would arrive tomorrow before 4:30 PM. After all of these years wishing and hoping for a first day delivery after staying up all night to get the phone ordered only to have it delayed, somehow I found the secret--wait a few days. Crazy.

Do y'all know how to get FedEX to hold the package?
From what I've been seeing, they won't due to a restriction placed by AT&T. You would have to contact AT&T and have them contact FedEx.
[doublepost=1537481920][/doublepost]Looks like my husband isn't going to be around to get the packages, so I might have to wait until Monday. FedEx usually comes back on Saturday here, but AT&T put a restriction on that as well.

Yeah the UPS guys stay out until late. FedEx Express guys with normal routes don't work much past 5pm.
Ups has a contract, they stay out until done. Same as usps.
Fedex... a slight breeze and they can go home.
I think fedex home/ground are independents. They own the truck/route and put in whatever hours they decide they want, 8 hours and still have packages to deliver on a friday? Meh they have dinner at 6, so time to go home.

As you can tell i hate fedex, everytime amazon would ship fedex i would be almost guaranteed a free prime month when they didnt deliver on time.

Down south
I had an email around 3 a.m. Phone (daughter’s gold XS) was in Memphis and scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

This afternoon I had an email that my watch, which was scheduled for 9/24-10/1, was in TX and scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

I will likely have BOTH of these before my XS Max arrives from Apple since FedEx comes to my house MUCH earlier than UPS. :(

Hmmm, if you can call your local FedEX, sometimes they hold it for you. I'm talking around 7am your local time. Good luck!

Nah, it’s cause
1.Its an “S” model update not as popular as new phone release.
2.The price
3.The hype factor
If you ask me this was one of if not the less sought after iPhone ever. Can’t wait to see the 1st week sells to see if I’m right.

Mine did the same. It departed Indy at the same time too, but it's coming to NY now.

Ok with att's screwup they had to cancel my order and reorder the phone this happened Monday. well I got noticed the first order that was supposed to be canceled and showed canceled on the webpage shipped. the second order was not supposed to ship till the 28th. so I figured once I have the first phone I will cancel the second. so I get a notice the replacement order is preparing to ship a few hours ago and now it has shipped. I have two phones coming on my number.

I have worked at FedEx Express for 15 years we don't get to just go home when we feel like (Neither do the Ground/Home guys, though I've never worked for them I talk to some on road) If you get way too much freight on a particular day the computer just spits out more routes, spreading the freight between us and the part timers stay and help in those situations, or a lighter neighboring route helps. Reason we are back by around 5pm is because we have pickups that need to be back by then so they can get to the airport to deliver the stuff we picked up. Only time I've ever seen packages not delivered is around xmas when **** hits the fan, too much freight, bad weather etc.

Fake news ^

Couldn’t be farther from the truth. I owned two FedEx Home routes and one Ground route. You miss service on a piece, it doesn’t end well.

Also, if you take to the store to turn it in be sure to keep every piece of paper they give you and keep it safe. I didn't know they didn't receive a phone I turned into the store and it caused HOURS of headaches. I finally had a sit in at the store and told the manager I was not leaving until it was fixed. He magically got the power to fix it. :D

Haha a sit in! Funny but sad that that’s what it takes to get people to do their jobs sometimes.

Got my shipping notifications from AT&T for two iPhone XS Max 64GB I ordered on 9/14 around 7:40 PM EDT. The first email came at 1:40 PM EDT and the second one came at 2:41 PM EDT. The tracking numbers are for USPS. That works in my favor if that’s the case because my mail is normally delivered between 1 and 3 PM. Not sure if that’ll change if USPS is making a bunch of iPhone deliveries in my area.

Agreed. My current X is a 256 and I still have 232 GB available lol. I’m one of those weirdos that doesn’t like keeping tons of photos on my phone and hell I don’t even use the phone for music outside of streaming. I do sometimes have to keep large files on the phone which is why I chose the capacity. Still though, I can’t imagine filling up 512 GB on a phone. My MBP has a 500 gig flash capacity and even there I still have 320 available.

Wouldn't it though? But highly unlikely. I'm sure they'll want it back.

Ya most likely. One thing I’ve learned about life so far is that when someone (insert company name here) owes you something it’s so easy for them to forget. When you owe someone (insert company name here) something they never forget.
