How long has it been taking everyone to activate the new phones with AT&T? Usually by the time the phone sets up and downloads all my apps I have a signal. I have restarted the phone already.

Mine came at 12:00. FedEx guy really could have placed it in a better spot. Some of these delivery people are idiots.

Next year I’m doing pick up at AT&T.

my activation not going smoothly. said there was a problem with my att account. apparently the sim was never provisioned so the sim didn't work. gonna be a long night.

Did you do the activation via the phone or iTunes? and were you asked to confirm the acc info?
I didn't do any activation. I just removed my existing sim fro my 8+ & inserted it into the Xs Max. Then I put both phones side by side and they started some transfer process wireless. Then I plugged in the Xs Max into my computer & did a restore from backup from iTunes.

Weird, I just tried your steps and it still asked me for my acc info to complete the activation process.

So the other info that I did versus your situation (possibly) is the Xs Max was upgraded on a different line. So I removed the SIM from that phone and put my existing SIM from my 8+ into it and did the wireless sync between phones. Then I connected the Max to iTunes to restore from backup.

After using it for a few, I don't mind the notch, videos aren't that bad, plus the 6.5 Inch screen helps, coming from a 7+ which is 5.5 Inches. Glad I upgraded, plus 512GB was a big selling point to me.

Happy iPhoneMas to everyone, hope those who didn't get there's gets them soon.

The upgrade was made under the same line, I turned off the X, removed the SIM card, shaped it with the one that came in my Xs Max, powered on, and it takes me to verify information to complete the activation, I have no problem providing the info, I'm just trying to prevent the $30 activation fee for ATT for doing nothing.

FINALLY home and setting her up. What a beauty! I wish I could explain the color of the back. Its like a holographic tan? Lol

Ok, so FedEx didn’t screw up at all for me, they delivered 9:30, but the people at my apt. Leasing office just put it on the shelf without labeling the box, so first time I went at 930, they said that they didn’t have it. Called fedex and they took info to do a trace, as it was signed by someone. So I looked up the name on Google, it was rather a unique last name here, and called the home number of the person who signed for it., spoke to a guy who said his wife works at the leasing office! The lady in the office was same this morning and she tried to be a little snarky, and said Fedex hadn’t come back again today. I asked, doesn’t Mrs. Eklund work here as it shows the signature on the FedEx site? She went back and looked just a little harder, and lo and behold, there be my box of gold, iPhone that is. Lol called Fedex and told them they could cancel the trace.

This happened to me last year with the X. I never got it. Had to cancel and went and picked one up from the apple store 45 minutes away.
I can’t even cancel. I’ve tried.

Well, knew something would go wrong, lol. My Speck case won’t fit! Tried everything and it won’t go on. Seems like it kind of blocks the ringer switch, but I’m not sure. Don’t want to break the phone trying to make it fit. Now, I just have to not break it until I can do an exchange at Best Buy.
I bought a slim Spigen case off eBay(the actual Spigen seller) and it's nice, but the top is exposed a bit, worried about dropping it, need a better case and a glass screen protector.

Beautiful phone though, need to get used to the notch.

I picked up an OtterBox Symmetry at Best Buy before my phone delivered...thought I'd gotten the wrong case. It was extremely tight to get put on, but it fits. All of the buttons are responsive so I guess it's just a tight fitting phone.

I’m still waiting on my daughter’s XS from AT&T. They said delivery by 4:30 and it’s 5:45 and still no sign of it. It’s coming FedEx.

My pre-ordered watch from AT&T arrived FedEx earlier (like 11 this morning), and my Apple pre-order XS Max arrived a few hours ago.

Of course because I have a friend wanting my daughter’s 8+ and hoping to get it and my series 3 watch tomorrow so she can get it all set up, her new phone is gonna be the one to NOT show up.
