i tracked that package with the tracking # and it was shipped on the 17th from Louisville KY and was delivered to you today. So post a picture of it.

Have you signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager? At AT&T mine has been showing preparing for delivery since Sunday. But when I signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager I was able to see activity starting on 17 October and showing a delivery date of October 23.
The geographic approach makes a good bit of sense. If the conventional wisdom around AT&T's delivery estimates is true, then the best way of looking at it is probably around distance. To add a data point, I'm in Lexington KY and am still "in progress" with an order placed 10/16 at 1205.
ETA: Delivery Manager doesn't have anything for me. But it's not always been reliable for me anyway so might not mean much in my case.
After seeing the unboxing of the Blue 12, I want to change colors on my AT&T preorder but want a phone come Friday. My order says "preparing to ship." Should I try to cancel now, or wait to receive it and then return? Does AT&T charge a restocking fee on unopened phones? My preference is to order from Best Buy as they still have release day in-store pickup.

Updated to "preparing to ship"....fingers crossed for release date delivery!
I know in years past they FedEx wasn't allowed to hold the package (Iphone). A delivery attempt had to be made, per Apple''s rules. Not sure if that still applies.

My order is still in progress. I’m in St. Louis, MO and ordered the Pacific Blue Pro in 256GB on 10-16
I suspect if you're in the central region...(Chicago, St. Louis) won't get a preparing to ship until tomorrow.

That's my breakdown of this! FedEx's logistics team knows what it's doing. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
