Ordered a 256 graphite pro the evening of the 18th, updated 27 minutes ago at about 9pm to it was shipped, straight from order in progress. Have a tracking number that brings up nothing so far.
Update: 10pm eastern, tracking info just updated to delivery Friday scheduled, from York, PA.

I ordered my white 12 128gb on the 17th at about 5 pm CT. Expected delivery date is launch day. ATT order status says preparing to ship and no movement as far as FedEX. Really hoping I get it Friday since I currently do not have a working phone (LCD went out).
EDIT: the *ordr# number told me it's on backorder now. super disappointed. is there any chance I could still get my phone Friday?

Then ATT shipping is messed up! I ordered the 256gb pro blue. At 5:03am on 10/16 And still in process
Update: My 12 pro pacific blue 128gb just changed to “preparing to ship”
Nice! The 128 pacific blue I ordered for my brother at 8:01am and still In progress. Hopefully it goes to preparing soon.
Well Still no movement... I know I can wait until next week. but the principle of getting the phone on release date is a special thing.
My CC is still pending not charged... still showing in progress.... 7:58am Graphite Pro 128gb... If my status isn't updated by tomorrow night I will cancel ATT and go get it at Best Buy down the road.. Not worth waiting another week when I can get it on release date 4 miles from the house.
Next time ill order from apple. I was monitoring it and Apple and Oct 23 ship dates were still going strong until 830am est.
Will update if I see any movement or get a notification from FEDEX manager.

Crazy... I ordered at 758am graphite pro 128gb and still got nothing ....
someone posted this on the ATT forum they have going on their site.... VERY STRANGE!

One of my two 12 Pros (256gb Graphite) just went from “In Progress” to “Preparing to Ship”. Nothing showing in FedEx just yet however.
The other 12 Pro (Pacific Blue 256gb) is still showing as “In Progress”.

it could be BS - my Fedex tracking shows delivery on 10/23, already picked up, yet the SMS thing says backorder... lol.
I think it saying it is backordered is something that happens just before it ships. Pretty sure it has come up in years passed.
Hoping this doesn’t make anyone mad but just sharing my experience for the benefit of the group.
I ordered 6 iPhone 12’s (all 64GB) at 11:00PM on Tuesday, October 20 - 2 red, 1 blue, 2 white, and 1 black. All showed estimated delivery Oct 29-Nov 4. Mid-day today, October 21, the 2 red phones showed as “preparing for shipment” on AT&Ts site and I have tracking on FedEx for delivery Friday. The rest of the colors still show in progress.
So I guess if you ordered Red, you should be getting them on Friday. Hard to believe you could order 3 days before launch and still get them Friday.

Same here. I've lost count of the times I ordered the next day or shortly after since early on and it's nearing 17 straight.
I just checked my order via text and it says back order too. Said in process earlier. Hopefully it means it will ship tomorrow!
